he's undersized and needs to improve his shooting and driving ability. He can maybe go 2nd round but its so hard to make a roster. I see him as a European player for career.Does anyone here think Jajuan Smith will be drafted after his senior year? Or does anyone think he can make a pro roster as a free agent if not drafted?
Major Wingate - Turkish Basketball League PlayerMaybe he and Major can turn into a real dangerous pick and roll threat in a Greek league.
AHHHH.....finally someone made the intangibles argument that we continually use in support of our arguments for Dane Bradshaw on the UT all decade team. One of the ways he might get drafted is let's say we make an unbelievable run in the ncaa tournament and juan really carries himself as a junior/senior leader along with lofton. Juan could get most of his attention just playing side by side with Lofton. If Juan pulls through in some clutch situations, he could really create a big name for himself. An NBA team would have to take him.
He'll play in one of the lower tier foreign leagues. Not talented enough to make a roster in any of the elite European leagues.
I don't want to debate the definition of talent. He's too small to be anything but a point guard in the NBA and his skill set is not that of NBA point guard. He's loaded with athletic ability and can shoot, but those playing 2/3 tend to be about 5" taller and contribute some in rebounding. Are you referring to talent or more skill that he lacks? I think in terms of athletic ability he is not lacking. He has a '40 vertical and runs a 4.4 forty and you can see his quickness when he chooses to play defense all out. I am not arguing with the assesment though. He is not capable of playing at the NBA level because he is severly lacking in ball handling skills, shooting consistently, floor awareness, floor vision, passing ability, and decision making ability. I see him spending time his whole career in Europe.
apparently the gentleman that asked original question cares. If you think that's silly, simply avoid the thread and spend your time on those you deem worthwhile.who gives a flying f*** whether he will play as a pro. How many steals did he have against LSU tuesday night. He played well in Lofton's absence and I hope he continues to improve his game.
