For all you Eric Berry fans, if he leaves and gets drafted by the Detroit Lions, how many of you will follow him and become a Detroit Lions fan?

If we do make a "Club 14" after this year, I can think of someone who may deserve it...

What are you talking about? Eric Berry doesn't project to the NFL as a Wide Receiver. Why would the Lions ever draft him?

I know I, like probably many others, will cheer for Detroit if he ended up there, but it's not like they'll instantly become my favorite team. It's like how many Vols/Titans fans cheer for the Colts when they're playing someone else.

Haven't you heard? The lions fired Matt Millen last year.

Here are the facts -

The lions will be drafting in the top 3 again this year. The team has little to no talent.

They did use the BPA (best player available) method and every pick. So if Berry is there he could be BPA at #1.

Right now looking at it, i think the Lions take Gerald McCoy or Eric Berry.

Come on, who turns down #1 overall pick money? You just don't do that. He could be the highest paid saftey in the NFL.

it's kinda the other way around. There are many who are Vols/Colts fans and not Titans

Nah Matt Millen's gone. Only problem would be they may not want Berry hurting Stafford's confidence by picking him off in practice everyday.

Gotcha, i was just curious to how some of you Berry fans thought.

I'm actually a Detroit Lions fan, i'm also hoping they draft Berry, if not him McCoy (DT from OU) would be my 2nd choice.

Lions will draft him cause he could be the best player in the draft outside of maybe the quarterbacks coming out this year. They drafted Stafford last year so I think they would be stupid not to take Berry. Players like him don't come around that often and he is someone Schwartz could build a stable defense around. You have to have a defense to win the NFL!

Yeah, Berry with Delmas would form a great backfield.

Delmas (nickname is the missle) is known for his hard hitting and add in Berry with his playmaking and hard hitting also could form a great saftey tandem.

I also agree that guys like Berry just don't come around very often. If the Lions continue their BPA trend in the draft then Berry will be a Lion.

Jackson's career is following Berry's footsteps very closely. Both made their breakout plays against Florida in the 3rd game of the year. I will say this I Berry was the more of a sure tackler at this point. But the are very similar. Also I expect Kiffin to use Jackson like he's doing Berry and move Myles Jr. to FS.

Yeah, Berry has been an incredible open field tackler from very get-go. Tacklers don't come a whole lot better than EB.

They really don't. I remember him tackling Tebow in open field by himself as a freshman. He's a special player and I think Jackson will be a good replacement once he learns to wrap up.
