Yeah that was a great segment on Colbert. The album is solid, I think I might of skipped 2 songs. My favorites are: I'm shakin', Freedom at 21, Sixteen Saltines and Trash Tongue Talker

I've been meaning to check it out man, here in Nashville, he tied albums to helium ballons and released them from his recording studio 3rd Man. How bad ass it that?

I'm diggin the chick band he's been playin with on his tv appearances. The Gary Oldman concert was fairly cool.

Never forget seeing White Stipes open for Pavement. Only time I ever ran to a merch table to buy a record in my life.

Sampled it on Amazon. Liked what I heard a lot. I'm waiting for it to go on sale. I've gotten too spoiled by $5 album sales.

I love the White Stripes but the couldn't get into the Racoonteers.

*Raconteurs. IMO, That's the best stuff he's been a part of. I wish they'd do another album. Both of their albums are great from start to finish. I'm not knocking the stripes either, they're one of my all time favorites. The Raconteurs appeal to a wider audience and have much more mellow sound when compared to what he was doing with The White Stripes.

Oh, and I love the new album. I don't think Jack White is capable of making a bad cd. He's a true artist.

I've only listened to a handfull of songs on Pandora. I liked them just not enough to seek out a whole album.

I suggest listening a little closer. It's quite possibly the best music he's ever done. It's really grown on me this past week. From start to finish it's really well done. It has so much thrown in it's amazing it sounds like it does. At times it feels really new and fresh, other times it feels like the same ole White, and then other times it feels like something straight out of the 60's. It's very diverse. It would be hard to define it under one certain genre of music. It's country, rock, gospel, grunge, classical, R&B, blues, etc. all mixed together. It has a plethora of instruments including violins, Rhodes piano, organ, Wurlitzer, clarinet, mandolin, fiddle, pedal steel guitar. I can't even name them all. A lot of critics said White couldn't write complex music. This album takes that statement rolls them over slowly, sticks a knife inside of them, twists it all around, grabs their fingers gently, slams them in a doorway, and then puts their face into the ground.

Consoler Of The Lonely is an incredible Raconteurs track.

I'm lukewarm on Blunderbuss at this point. Jack is my guy, but this album hasn't grabbed me by the shoulders and shaken me. Regardless, can't wait to see him live Friday night, hopefully with the female band.

I think "doorbell" is the best song he has ever done.

I disagree with you on this album. Nothing as good as "doorbell" for me, but I like basically every track.

Jack delivered, as always.

Both the Buzzards(male band/1st set) and Peacocks (female band/2nd set) played. Liked the Buzzards the best. The drummer killed it and the energy overall was very high during the 1st set.

If you haven't seen Jack, you're really missing out, IMO.

Finally bought it. Had a $4 voucher to Amazon MP3 store so I used it on Blunderbuss. Really digging it. Its like a more melodic version of the White Stripes. I can also hear the Nashville influence in his style more than ever. Last track is probably my favorite.

iTunes has a concert available for free streaming if anyone is interested. He does some White Stripes stuff too.
