I heard Basilio discussing Jack Jones. I know he was in the game But from the stands, I couldn't see well.
When did he enter the game? During his playing time, did the Oline make holes for Hurd?

I still believe when Chance Hall comes back from injury thst at he and Jones give us the best Oline combo.

He came in when we got the first fumble when Shiron Jones was yelling .

But when was that? I don't recall and did they "jell" when he was in. He has always played with a pissed off attitude and that is what this Oline needs.

Oline played terrible. Uf will feast on swing passes and sacks. Number 6 doesn't touch the ball nearly enough.

He pushes and his man goes the other direction...all the science I need.

He came in right when the game turned (after the first fumble). They slid Wiesman to center and put Jones in at guard. He was in on the 90 yard TD drive.

The problem with the offense in the first quarter was Coleman Thomas. He wasn't even slowing the lineman down on passing downs. I've never seen anything quite like it. Usually, even when offensive lineman are struggling they might blow an assignment or get beat one out of every 3 plays. Thomas was getting beat quickly on every single pass. This was especially odd since Thomas was pretty good last year.

I say all that to answer your 2nd question. Once Jones came in the line was okay but not great. They weren't getting beat every play like they had been. This allowed the skill players to make some plays. They put Thomas back in in the 3rd quarter for a bit but he didn't do much better than he had early (they did score at least 1 TD in the 3rd with Thomas in the game). I think they re-inserted Jones again and the offense scored another TD later.

We are a better OL when coleman is out and jack is in. I do not know if coleman thomas is hurt or soft. But the middle of the line played better with 75 and 66 AT guards and 71 at center. That is Robertson and Jones at guards and Wiseman at center.

I don't understand why he isn't playing more. He's one of our best of lineman but never sees the field.

You said a mouthful. I know the line is struggling bad. We gotta open up more. Get 6 more touches and get Dobbs out of the pocket. Everybody knows we're scared to attempt a downfield threat

Best O-lineman they have. Makes things happen and hits more than one person every play he can. Wiesman at C and Jack at RG changed everything. Time for Thomas to sit. Butch and Debord need to get over their man love for CT.

FWIW - Chance Hall was the best OT during fall camp until he got hurt. Looking forward to his return.

Thomas only sat for a series or 2. He was in for the majority of the game. The one that got benched the most was Richmond. They put Kendrick at LT, Weismann at C, Jones at RG, and Thomas at RT. That lineup seemed to be the one that settled things down ultimately. However J Robertson was not good last night. He was doing his best impression of a turnstile.

Hope we get Hall back sooner than later,

Robertson, Thomas and Richmond are terrible. Hall can't come back quick enough so that they can move Kendrick to LT.

I believe when I start threads on here and mention these things in treads on VolNation, Butch Jones reads my posts, and does what I suggest.

Kendrick played LT most of the 2nd half last night

Richmond is a project. He played RT in high school so he had to learn the position. Mahoney is a bad O-line coach so we have a guy with a ton of talent having to learn a new position from a bad coach. I honestly don't think the staff thought he would play this year with Kendrick and Hall so they didn't focus on his off season development as much as they should have.

When did he enter the game? The minute the jailbreaks up the middle stopped and our offense started moving the ball.

I think our best line-up will eventually settle into looking like this:

Kendrick - Robertson - Wiesman - Jones - Hall

Coleman Thomas has the physical attributes, but it seems his ankle injury is getting in his way. Badly. He needs to sit out until he can prove he's a better option than Wiesman at C.

I'm a bit befuddled at Robertson these first two games. From our best interior lineman throughout 2014 and much of last year (until Wiesman came on gangbusters), he's now playing only mediocre. Hoping he wakes up and gets beast.

Richmond still has some growing into the position to do, it appears.

Omg, please say something that makes sense because this was downright ridiculous.
