Without Jack Jones and Chance Hall, the O-Line once again will get burned. I know that Hall is out a couple of weeks but my gosh Jack Jones needs to be in there at RG. Dobbs when he has time can throw but look at how many times the pocket collapsed tonight.

Dobbs tried to be something he is not tonight. He and the coaches need to go back to what he is good at and stop pretending he is a pocket passer.

Agree. Our best line combo is jones and hall on the right side. Look at GA and AL last year. Those guys get push and have the nasty steak. OL looked soft tonight.

Depth chart needs to be shaken up on OL. Jack Jones should be in lineup and take a look at the true freshmen. Erase the chart and start over. Pretty sad effort.

Agree. Move Wiesman to center, slide Jones to RG and sit Coleman down. His play tonight reminded me of his play vs OU when he was a freshman playing out of position at RT.

The OL isn't weak. When they know you are running every play it's not hard to stop.

I don't think they plan on him being a passing superstar. They were vanilla on purpose. Few read options and no qb draws? That's a staple of our offense with Dobbs normally.

Judge the offense next week. We ran probably like 20% of the playbook and got lucky. This is a game we should have lost.

I honestly think Richmond should be our starting LT. The coaches have praised him all summer. He's got so much potential.

The OL isn't weak? Dude come on now. It was terrible. Pass blocking was awful. Run blocking was awful.

Dobbs cant throw the ball downfield if you don't game plan him for 15 times running the ball you are playing in to the other DC hand, i like him but he just can't throw the ball, why do you think we run the ball 9 out of 10 times on first down the coaching staff know he cant beat the other team with his arm, its time we get another QB ready because if we get down to a elite defense we will not have a chance there is one thing about Dobbs when he starts the game cold he stay's cold not saying put him on the bench but if he is cold bring in another QB or we will be 8 and 4 again.

I'm anxious to hear what Coach Doug Mathews says about it.

Love Doug, but my guess is he'll go in full defense of Butch and the team mode and will refuse to be critical of Tennessee's effort. He'll go on about how good a team Appy State is. In short, rather than give an honest, realistic assessment, he'll circle the wagons.

That's the thing. I really do believe tonight the coaches were expecting a blow out and we could "play around" with Dobbs throwing it.

For Coleman Thomas to be so improved last year...idk what happened to him tonight. Unreal

There were plays where air would have put up more resistance to their defense. His play was stunningly bad tonight, their nose tackle, Stout, abused him whenever he wanted to, any more of that put Boulware in there if Jones cant go.

Here's a thought. Appy State D line was small and quick and stunted a bunch. Maybe when we play bigger teams they'll match up better...okay that was a reach :)

Richmond was the best olinemen that game hands down. The rest needs to step it up especially the middle.
