Opinions are like......Sports talk J is a Joke! He acts like he is breaking news. Watch Vol quest, Go Vols 247, Josh and Swain, Fanrun radio Knoxville, Mike Keith shows, Tony Basillo. All these are on YouTube. These folks know what's going on. Sports talk J is just repeating someone else, he is a nice guy, he doesn't know football
Him and Boogie Bentley are the worst.
We get it already. You don’t like a VFL that bleeds orange and it’s actually an alum. Every single time someone post a video from him. You have to start the hate parade.Sports talk J is a Joke! I look at it differently, Faizon is not going anywhere. Patience. A year under Joey would be worth the wait.Anyone saying they’d rather he move on is stupid and they have a very poor memory.
The goal in recruiting great HS QBs like GMac and Faizon is to eventually have a great college QB like Joey, but it doesn’t always work out. How have people already forgotten how things worked out with Nico? I’m definitely not saying Faizon is Nico, but he’s unproven. Joey is proven. If Joey coming back runs off Faizon, so be it. That is the world we live in. The days of having QBs lined up for 3-4 years are over. When you find yourself with a great QB you hang on to him as long as possible. Period.

JA returning for 1 year wouldn’t affect Brandon or GMac. They’re not transferring over a 1 year starter.A couple days ago I posted asking about JA’s eligibility potential for next year and some posted that even if they could have him back they would prefer not to, as it would upset the balance of the QB room.
Many pointed to F. Brandon coming in and therefore would force GMac or Merk to leave. If not both.
My thought is, you play with the best and most prepared QB at all times. Period.
If JA can come back next year I say we welcome it and let it rip. Brandon will be too young and whatever happens with GMac and Merk……is what it is.
Thoughts?
Maybe, maybe not. I would be willing to bet GMac thought when he came here that Nico would be likely gone after GMac's freshman year and he'd be given a chance to start.JA returning for 1 year wouldn’t affect Brandon or GMac. They’re not transferring over a 1 year starter.
IF Joey projects as a late round pick it would serve him well to come back. He will make more from NIL.If Aguilar continues to have a good season, then he will get some more NFL buzz. As of right now, I can see him getting a late round draft pick spot to fight to be a backup QB somewhere. Lots of NFL teams needs a few backups during the year.
Worst case is he could go as an UDFA and run the practice squad. He would make more than most doctors and lawyers and could be a practice QB for a decade.
Heupel may want him back to bridge another year, or he may want to get the next generation.
Yeah in this new college era. If you can keep a known commodity at QB for 1 more year then like you say. Let the chips fall.Maybe, maybe not. I would be willing to bet GMac thought when he came here that Nico would be likely gone after GMac's freshman year and he'd be given a chance to start.
Honestly though, you can't worry about it. If JA can come back and he wants to, you let everything fall where it may. JA is a top level QB in this system and he'd give us an amazing shot to win back to back Nattys.
