Do you consider that the same......You stop kids from doing squats with the wrong technique bc it can cause serious injury......this exercise can cause serious injury.

I would expect CDT to have already had a conversation with coach Moyer, and I use the term coach loosely based on this picture.

I've been around and known a handful of strength coaches and trainers, never seen any of them put someone at risk like he did here.

While I agree it looks unsafe and all that as well, raise of hands how many of us have master's degrees in developmental kinesiology and are certified strength and conditioning trainers?

i'll default to moyer, but I would never do that myself at the gym.

Im a Physical Therapist and have done athletic training as well. I understand its use but there seems to be too much that can go wrong.

If something goes wrong in that lift, there is absolutely nothing the spotter can do but watch the carnage. He is either going to dump the weights on his feet or fall straight down and the weight will collapse on his pelvis.
