If he's not on the team we start Kamara the entire time and win more games. Hurd was a negative for the team last year if for no other reason than he led to Kamara sitting out.

So you think UF is making a mistake ? Remember this is a school UT has beat 2 times in 15 years -- I really dont care for the guy either, but Currie better hire someone that can do better than 2 wins vs UF in 15 years - I, like many on here are fed up with losing

All Vol fans are tired of losing. I still haven't gotten used to it.

As for Florida, when we have more talent we go conservative and end up losing. When they have more talent they put on more steam.

The Kelly thread day he is going to UCLA. I think it's to avoid the competition of the SEC.

He didn't want to flake out like Mac and Myers.

When did you last finish in the top 10 in the NCAA in interceptions in a season? How many SEC Defensive Player of the Week awards have you won? Did you ever have 86 tackles in a season for the Vols?

Moore was a very good player for UT.

They are all gone after our bowl game. The HC can fire this or that assistant. When the HC is replaced, the new guy brings in his own staff.

Send them all home today and tell the players to figure it out. It's a home game. They know when it all starts. I wonder if the players could come up with a better game plan.

Mr. Currie,

I know the past few months have been a roller coaster of emotions for Vol fans and yourself. I understand that making a decision to fire Coach Jones and finding a replacement in a timely fashion is no easy task. If you haven't noticed this has negatively affected some of our players.

There are two sides to every coin and some of the emotions of having an incompetent staff for the past five years caused this fiasco today.

*I know it may be asking a lot and it is after all a holiday week but this university is paying you a lucrative amount of money to be the care taker of athletics and right now the basketball team appears to be handling itself quite well. Maybe, just maybe instead of vacationing in the Bahamas you could have been here today with the proverbial squeaky wheel to handle this matter a little better and to continue to search for the next leader of our football team.

*Mr. Jennings actions today were inexcusable and honestly he should have been punished in my opinion but let's be honest this punishment does not fit the crime. Give this young man a chance to explain himself face to face with you, or the new coaching staff to discuss his future.

I really hope that this time off from the search and from the football team that so desperately needs a care taker right now, helps out. I'm sure we will all be blown away by the new hire you unveil in the coming weeks.

Jennings says he started practicing to play vs Vandy. Then he gets told by the coaches that he's not playing.

He proceeds to rip them on instagram and calls the staff from this year a bunch of liars.

Says UT needs to hire a real coach and that if they do, everyone will be on board and work their butts off for the new guy.

Add profanity to it.

Hoke apparently sees it, calls Currie in the Bahamas, Currie and Hoke kick him off the team.

Vol twitter erupts. The media calls Currie a blooming idiot for not suspending Jennings and letting the new coach decide how to proceed.

Former VFLs, some of whom played for Butch, rip the AD/Coaches.

Current players tweet cryptic support for JJ.

This all day long. You can argue about the decision, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge former Vols from the last decade. Despite our record, some of them played their asses off.
