J Jennings Dismissed from UT

Other teams called him a dirty player. Had some pretty nasty actions after plays were over. Ppl thought he was a gamble. He was fiery and very passionate about competing and winning just like JJ.

DB played to the echo of the whistle but he wasn’t nasty. Opposing players didn’t like him because he was relentless and wore their asses out. That is a football player.

Why don’t you refresh my memory. I know Derek Barnett and his mom. Great kid. My kids went to BA with him and I spoke to him often. I followed his entire BA career and don’t remember anything other than a kid who busted his ass for his team and respected his coaches and a mom who worked 3 jobs to put him through BA. He is a hero to my son who is still at BA and who DB allowed to join him in the UT locker room and sit in his locker last year before the Florida game. I really don’t remember what you are referring to. He was entirely respectful off the field and an absolute beast on it. That’s how I remember him at BA.

He may be referring to the one play where Barnett blasted a player near the sidelines .....I think in the state playoffs ..

How do u know that? Are u the only regular Joe that has been allowed at the recent practices? Because even the local media has been banned. And he is far and away our best receiver anyway.. why not give him a chance? He has a fire like nobody else on that field. I want somebody like that on my team

I know as much about the other as you do on him being the best receiver PRESENTLY. Is he fully recovered? Why you holding back that information? Key thing is to ASK not demand. I don’t see him as a fine petitioner.

Selective memory I guess

Did Currie make our job opening less attractive to potential coaches by kicking off (arguably) the best skill player we have?

Just a thought...
I'm pretty sure that no coach in his right mind would consider coaching any football team without JuJuan Jennings starting at receiver.

I'd take my chances. We need that fire. Just like we needed barnett

That was at Ensworth and was arguably a bad call. That player was still in bounds when DB hit him and knocked him about 15 yards through the air and out of bounds. If memory serves it was Corn Elder that he hit. Not a dirty play but things had gotten chippy and the hit was huge and close and I think that’s why the flag was thrown. He did have a late hit against their QB that got lots of attention but that’s football. It happened and shouldn’t have. Far from a dirty player.

What a screwed up staff! They wouldn't sit Gaulden for throwing the fingers during the Bama game but they dismiss JJ for telling the truth? Can this train wreck get any worse?

Does Hoke not know he is just a warm body we're probably legally required to have in order to proceed with the final two games? There's no dismissing a star player who has done more for Tennessee than Hoke is ever going to. Curry needs to veto this.

Hoke most likely did what CBJ should have done a long time ago

Gotta sound it out better. Gaulden flamed the enemy. JJ ranted his own TRUTH.

Why call it a "rant"?

The young man was expressibg his feeling about wanting a good coach next year.

Seems like he was still on the team at the time.

Actually, the timing makes it appear that his video was the REACTION to being dismissed from the team, not the cause of the dismissal.

We don't know what he did that warranted dismissal.

Do you?

I’m sure Hoke has really no connection to the kid like Butch did, pretty easy decision to get rid of the kid if no connection or any type of relationship..

It's the right move. JJs actions forced their hands. He went beyond the scope of simply complaining about a coach. I'd be shocked if the AD didn't sign off on this.
