I've seen 2 3 Seconds calls all season

When I was playing the game, which was a long time ago, this call (3 seconds) baffled me. The refs have a lot to watch on the floor and for one ref to keep his eyes on one guy long enough to count him in the lane too long,IMO he has to be wanting to call this. IMO it should never be called unless it becomes overly obvious that a player is abusing the lane. Grant was whistled twice in a short period of time. I think the refs fell in love with the Iowa comeback and decided to help them out, which got Turner also. And don't forget the Bohannon kid shoving Fulky, and nothing was called until Fulky got tired of him popping him.Terrible refs.UT-threestoogescoaches.jpg

Both were today and both were against Tennessee in the first half.
It is a call that isn't called a lot. The one that is also a rare call is traveling. If you don't believe me ask Maryland fans yesterday. There was report on Yahoo today where they seemed to believe LSU's Waters traveled while scoring the winning FG yesterday. This is a call the zebras don't call enough. In the NBA game traveling is a myth!

LSU is avoiding karma like a champ.

I would say the 3 second violation was called by the opposing coach before the game even started. Coach warning ref about Williams flopping tendency and camping out in the paint.

The calls that got me were the double foul on Fulkerson and Iowa player and the blocked three point shot. The double foul was pure bunk. The iowa kid pushed Fulky three times!
Yeah my thought on that is that if it was a foul on that punk Iowa kid, then why wasn’t it called until Fulkerson retaliated?🤔

Not the problem. The problem is whatever Coach Barnes is telling them at halftime just isn't working. He needs to pull a George Costanza and do the opposite of what he has been telling them.

I have said the same thing, I have seen us several times this year, play a good first half and come out flat the second half, so whatever he is telling them stop it. If you have played a good first half, continue doing the same thing, don't change anything.

I will give the refs credit for not calling Grant on the “charge” and the “steal” late in the game. Or should I say restraint from making two more biased calls....!

That said, I think refs make up calls against team with a 20pt lead to get the other team back in it unless you’re Duke or KY.

I don't think Grant Charged; he had the angle, IMO. IT DID seem the refs got caught up in the Iowa Comeback and jumped in feet first.

That's just it, Fulky never really retaliated. All he did each time was move back in position to set the pick. That was a terrible application of the double foul rule.

Yeah, it was close. Definitely less egregious than what the Iowa kid did

Yeah, they started with Grant's first block call in the second half (at 19:02). The Iowa player clearly passes the ball back to another player, yet they call it a shooting foul. And that's when their momentum started.
