There has always been booing at Tennessee games so ppl need to stop acting astonished by last Saturday. I boo but i rarely boo alone. Here are some of my Neyland Stadium Highlights.

2001 UGA: after we squib kicked it to the 40.

2002 Alabama: going into the half with nothing going on on either side of the ball.

2002 Miami: Everyone booed going into the half out of pure frustration. Miami was the team we were supposed to be at that point in the season, but instead we were now what is common place in Knoxville, an under achieving poorly coached team with no clue.

2003 Georgia: After Sean Bailey returned a fumble 97 yards for a touchdown. AKA the most Clausen moment in the history of organized sports.

.......
I have many more examples but i think everyone gets where i am going with this and i have no reason to continue.

I'm not going to lie. I was there going buck ass wild over that. Yet, I still have a place in my heart for Clausen.

There aren't many moments that made me literally throw up. This was one of them.

And I was actually there, too. That was the loudest I have ever heard Neyland boo, not against our team, but that ridiclious call where they said Croyle wasn't down when he flipped that ball to, (Can't Recall his name).

Worst call I have seen live in my life.

Just a ploy to divert attention away from the real problem.

agree 100% I mean we boo because we care if that makes since...worst I felt saturday was when we thought stocker scored they overturned it and nobody booed... it felt like nobody cared:cray:

Between this sentence and the thread title, it's no wonder that invading aliens would read through a couple of message boards and go "Nope, no intelligent life here. Let's just mercy-kill the planet."

cool thread title. dont care so much for booing, but fans dont have many other ways of expressing disappointment. well, except throwing batteries maybe.

I have been to a lot of games, and that may have been the loudest I've ever heard that stadium.....PERIOD!

Only call I've ever seen that was worse. Jabbar Gaffney's TD "catch" in 2000. I still get :realmad: when I think about that call.

So is this thread now about booing the refs or the UT coaches? Booing refs is common place and generally accepted at the college level.

If UT fans are to boo the UT coaches going forward, I think a general chant aimed at whatever coach would be more clear for those that think the booers are getting on a fragile college student playing football. I think a "Hey Fulmer . . you stink" might just clear things up.

From Dictionary.com

Boo-an exclamation of contempt or disapproval.

No one, I don't think, has contempt for our team, but we sure have a lot of disapproval.
Booing is our, the fans, way of expressing that dissaproval. I will continue to boo. There is nothing wrong with it!

I understand booing. Don't care for it personally, but do agree that it's the fan's prerogative.

That said, this bragging about booing is pathetic.

I was at each of those games. Although disgusted in the plays, I never felt the need to boo my team.

And for the record, the 2003 return was by Sean Jones, not Bailey.

I have nothing in my character that makes me want to make a 20 year old kid feel bad.

Again, would you boo if you were standing amongst the players on the sideline?

What is the point of your post?? are you attempting to look as clever as hatvol?

leave your nonsensical thoughts to yourself, its not cute/funny.

One simple question. Why BOO? Does this help?

If you can convience me I will join you.

ppl make donations to their school in hopes of getting the chance to purchase season tickets.

The chance to purchase season tickets are eventually awarded to them.

Over the course of 10 years the price of the tickets sky rockets and the performance of the team plummets.

Said person has invested time and money into university. The University continues to make said person pay more and more for less product.

Booing occurs..

Booing has been proven to release endorphins and other chemicals to the brain that help reduce stress and depression. :zeitung_lesen:

Those are often the same endorphins that cause mullets to grow.
