Hamilton needs to be proactive. I've seen lots of good guys leave for other jobs simply because they got a better offer and didn't wait for their present employer to make a better one. It's different in coaching to a degree I know.

As if this was in question. There are so many Chicken Little's around here, you'd think Bruce already had one foot out the door.

If MH let Pearl go for monetary reasons, he might as well pack his bags ... his name in this town would be "Mud."

Long time reader/ 1st time poster--- Not here to troll before you get your oranges adjusted.....

Word in Catland is Yes IU is after Pearl-----
General Consensus of Catland----- 50/50 that he goes....
Personal Opinion I say he stays....

Word is he's a likin ya'll an awful lot---- Watch this kid..... Beware---- he is going to need a lot of discipline! As far as talent.....the kid has a helluva jump shot, but he stands around quite a lot.....

Final thought on UofLoserville vs VOLS-----

I seen a post earlier that said BBN was pullin for Loserville---- not in my neck of the woods... (LHL country)

No offense, but Catland has no clue on what's going. IU and UT know, but everything is speculation.

And we don't care what Catland thinks - Catland HOPES Bruce leaves the SEC.

PTI was talking about this... nothing new to report, but they basically said he should consider it, as he could win a national championship a lot easier there, which I totally disagree with.

That's kind of what had me scratching my head, not sure how IU could be considered an easier place to win one. I think it's a preception thing, all they talked about was his ties to the region etc. Let them talk, Bruce will get a raise... he's not leaving.

Hat nailed it. But there is a perception also about tennessee mens basketball. I guess new kid on the block could be a arguement. But there are those they say we have no arguement. In short, just win baby!

Unless Pearl is unscrupulous I don't see him leaving for ANY job. He's now a "TN guy." He's in the frat and finds a sense of belonging here.

Nice Picture awhile back, I have seen Pearl with the Women (who i think were his family?) But now the frat girls? Man Pearl is a player now that he and his Wife got the divorce. Enough with that, I think that Creen should be considered in Indiana coaching talk. He is a Solid Coach, who has proven himself many times, and knows the area of Big Ten. If Bruce Leaves, I might cry for a couple weeks, but applaud him for what he has done to jump start our program, and hope to god if Scotty Commits, he won't get out of it due to his departure.

I realize that you make your living on sarcasm and jest, but my point remains the same.

He's clearly a "TN guy" and if he sells us out for another job, that's FINE -- but it would be unscrupulous. I'm not saying that it's unscrupulous to take a job for more money; i'm saying that Pearl is not the kind of guy to just switch jobs on a whim, considering the commitment TN has made on his behalf.

Someone may throw saban money at him. Hamilton would have to match any crazy offer made or he'd be the subject of a man hunt.

I agree. "Saban money" equals desperation. The only reason Alabama spent that kind of money is because they were too embarrassed to hire another "mediocre" coach.

Ole pitino has a good record against us lately. We owe him one. I can't think of a better time for payback than tommorrow night.
