It's time to take what the market is gonna give us here. I believe we need to clean house and have revolution lest this poison linger for decades in the AD.
I can't imagine any top tier target being willing to come partake of this train wreck in its current form. We will be left with an unproven up and comer who takes it wide eyes seeing his $2.5m salary. Then we're stuck with likely underachievement, possibly a new low floor for the program, and another buyout with even less options for a top hire.
#1 Fire Currie tomorrow morning and gladly pay him to get out. Pay bonuses to anyone who is loyal to his traitorous arse and send them too.
#2 Phone Haslam and inform him he'll be butting out of this process completely. He can keep future donations and use them on the Browns. They'll need it.
#3 Hire Philip Fulmer as interim HC for the upcoming year. Hire him as permanent AD now. We need 1 year of three best recruiting and team development to hand over to the next season's true home run hire.
#4 Hang on to the best of the staff possible and replace the others.
#5 Take methodical year long steps to make a sane decision to bring in the best staff possible between now and next season. Use all the VFLs at our disposal in a real way. Not the facade we currently have.
#6 Give top prospects confidence that we have non-bureaucrats running the show now. We are dead set on winning and making certain that the new hire is going too have everything they need to win national titles. We'll have plenty of time to reach out, vet, and no restrictions on contact with the Interim staff is in place.
#7 I'll personally take the role of leading the transition team. Will meet with Currie and Fulmer in the AM and have Jimmy on the phone before noon. $1M one year contract w no buyout and 2 lifetime sideline passes. PM me for resume'.
#8 Freak can retire in the Carribbean on the traffic here for the next year on the speculation alone.
Pipe dream complete. :hi:
