I called and left a message about maybe getting some UF shirts, as well. I'll keep you posted on that.

Better find a unit from Florida because I know no one from the 844th will not want anything with a "uf" on it.

Besides that would be a sin worse than murder in that unit. They would rather slap thier mother.

Well, they no doubt have some friends in other units who might be willing, right? LOL. I will keep it in mind, however, and if I can get something together I'll see about contacting a more Florida-oriented group.

I wonder if they do this already. If they don't, they should.

lol im sure we could find somebody that would take them... if all else fails we can give them to the iraqi kids...... its the thought that counts lol

I think LG wzas offering to clothe the detainees. A UF shirt would make them feel more comfortable

theres is about 20 dedicated vol fans here in my company stuck with these big ten fans. but gentleman you would be proud were converting them day by day lol

Got a reply -- they want more information. Guys, I am not military, so I need your help. As I see it, I could ask for 50 of them and send them to your outfit, troop 844 and you guys could provide them to another unit. Or, if you can tell me who the corrollary unit is here, I can see about setting that up -- and any suggestions on who to call would be great on that, as well.

if they raise that much hell about waterboarding, what do you think would happen if we made the derka derkas wear UF stuff?

lawgator..... there are people in my unit that are gator fans sadly lol but i put my info above and i can coordinate with my command to find a unit from florida who would take the rest

army, how does this work? Is your unit tied to Tennessee somehow or just enough UT fans to basically have you adopt them?

Reason I ask is that if there is a similar unit that is tied to Florida, that would make the most sense.

well the company im in back home is in johnson city Tn and this company from ohio didnt have enough people for a deployment so they took alot of us from Tn and other places so the company im in is actually really fun to be in for sports cause everybody isnt fans of the same team... it makes things more interesting lol

Ok, well, I am thinking two options.

Option I get ahold of a particular troop with a relationship to Florida and try to send directly to them.

Option II send to you there in Iraq, you can distribute how you see fit.

Now bearing in mind we would prefer not to see them draped around some prisoners as some sort of underwear, which do you think makes the most sense?

well im gonna be gone for a couple of days or so.... if you can find a florida unit that would probably be better but if you cant i can get it done here but ill be back on here later.... Go Vols!!!!
