It's the players. We don't have talent.

That's a double edged sword. I'm still ticked at Butch for taking the points against Oklahoma with 4th down, ball on the 1 yardline. A touchdown there and there wouldn't have been overtime. It's always smart in hindsight to do the opposite when it doesn't work.

I'm of the mind that when your offense is struggling you take the points and build from there.

I can only hope we can improve as much from week 2 to week 3 and then 4. If not, we're screwed. In retrospect of the BYU game, I think the DB's looked like the most lost group in the game. They seem to give up a slew of passes in the 6-9 yard range. I can only imagine what all the future teams are game planning after watching the tape. They can "dink and dunk" it all the way down the field.

I actually believe we have enough talent to win 6-7 games this year. What we don't have is mental toughness. I don't believe we have one play this year that everyone on the field did their job. All 11 guys on one single play doing what they suppose to do. We make so many mistakes on every play and alot of times its only one person not executing their job that leads to a negative play.

This is priceless.

We don’t have the talent to beat Georgia St & BYU at home? Give me a damn break with that crap.

Pruitt is getting more excuses than Butch ever did.
It truly is comical the mental gymnastics a certain portion of the fanbase will use to justify Pruitt's garbage coaching.

We know JG can't consistently sustain an offensive drive. We pretty much can't risk not kicking the FG if we are in range; take the guaranteed 3 points rather than risk 0.

OP may be right about lack of football IQ on the team, but over half the players were requited by Pruitt. Half a team should have beaten Georgia State
