The thing that stands out to me last night was the Vols played 4 qtrs. The were better in 2nd half. Especially the 4th quarter.

And on the 7th day.. The sunshine was pumped! And how glorious it was with the greatest of defeats over something called..... A zip

I agree! I think many on this forum need to get a life. I learned long ago not to rely on football team of 18-23 year olds for my happiness. I love my Vols, but I love many more things a lot more. I believe that many people on here were right when they say this site may not be for me.
Once most of these folks understand that they have no say over most they ***** about they will be better off. Maybe even get a girlfriend, go hunting, or just stop watching the team play. They need to try something though.

They're the zippers. Apparently the zipper was invented in Akron. Or according to Wikipedia anyway...probably not even true.

It is a beautiful day though...speaking of sunshine.

aboutthey can't do

When I was in my early 20's the UT game made or broke my day. Now I just try to enjoy it win or lose. If we are fortunate enough to come out with a W I celebrate. If we lose I go on about my day and look forward to the next game.

Positive threads give me hope for our fanbase. We need more people who do not enjoy ledge jumping on here.

I don't even jump down steps, hurts too bad. I am however, ready for a change to someone that will beat a lollipop like a lollipop should be beaten. We haven't done that in decades with any regularity. And yes the sun is up and FALL IS HERE BABY!!!

Excellent post, Count. But I don't get your reference to the Germans after Pearl Harbor later on.

So youre a half empty guy. CDD doesn't throw pick 6s, doesn't drop passes, and doesn't miss tackles but a guy like you could find a thread where they'll say he does if you keep looking.

That happens when you have a life! I'm watching my 2 and 4 year olds play and realize that life is great win or lose.

I'm sure everyone would have liked a better or more commanding win. I'm sure most are at least skeptical that we can do a lot in the next 4 games. My thoughts are we'll have plenty to be upset about in that stretch and getting as worked up as some have over a lackluster game against the zips is wasted energy.
If you despise DD just rest up and save your one liners and thread ideas. A whole lot of hard football is coming. If anything the lackluster effort should have you guys excited. Assuming what I've heard some say about how sad and pathetic a 4th quarter win over Akron is then you may have a smorgasbord of material by the close of October.
It's going to be a long hard season as it usually is for most teams and fans when you play in the SEC. We are not Bama or LSU, soon enough we'll know exactly how far down the list we are or aren't.

I'm happy as I could be today. Beautiful day. More football on. Gonna grill. We won. Don't know what the future holds. Don't really worry about it.

Can't imagine being as aggravated today as some are. They are missing something.
