what would our record be if we we had the defensive effort of the championship game and the offensive effort of kentucky,cal,georgia,arkansas... take your pick... i believe we are a one or two loss team if not better

This is one of Tennessee's problems, they can't ever put the pieces together. Sure, they've had games where things clicked, but there's no consistency whatsoever.

Against the Badgers would be a good place to start, and then carry it on over to next season.

QFT.

With most of the members of the team coming back next year... we just need a fill-in at QB and I honestly think we could be competitive for the SEC again. Call me a homer if you want, but the team I've seen up and down this year has been more consistent towards the end of the year.

One random and weird fact: recently, our SEC appearances have come in 3s:

1998
2001
2004
2007

If you're into the voodoo jimmyjangies. And when we lose the MVP has always been the opposing QB.

well hopefully we can break that trend. I dont want to have to wait untill 2010 to go back to the seccg game.

Well, as much as I hate to say this, baring any injuries to the SEC East, next year is going to be a barn burning year for us all!! We really need to get out on the recruiting trial ASAP to get our recruiting out of the 30's!! in the country and at least into the top 15.

You can chalk that one up to Larry Slade. How many DB's do we have in the NFL starting that were average in college? Greer and Wilson come to mind. They were both better than average but not dominant. Gibril Wilson is a bad mutha.

His hitting is the same, but his coverage has improved greatly.
