We played well for a half. Their depth and talent took over from there. This is a game that we couldn't win at full strength much less with all of our best players hurt. Our effort in the first half was admirable. That's something to build on. Matt Simms isn't very good; that's nothing surprising. We'll have to tough out another week before we get another game that we'll have a chance in.

Logic has no place here. Don't you know that? :)

I agree. Although, we must learn to close out a 3rd and 7 from the five. They were just wanting to punt...that drive broke our backs. That wasn't a depth issue

That was some true freshmen getting out of position at LB.

When Simms threw that first pick, i had a bad feeling about the rest of the game.

It was a terrible pass, but I thought Rogers tanked on that play. The ball was in the air long enough for him to cause an incompletion, and he didn't even attempt to make a play on the ball.

I disagree. Half the players on the field shouldn't have had to have been out there.

I had no real qualms about today's performance, with the exception of the broken tackles. I'm so tired of seeing runners break off of our tackles and get first downs. That's probably the most frustrating thing about all this.

The difference between our teams is very obvious. LSU can roll in 8 defensive linemen with no dropoff. We start Daniel Hood, who really has no business starting in this League, and we bring in Alan Carson, who just isn't ready yet.

They bring in 4 or 5 DTs that are as good as Malik Jackson. We'll get better there next year, but we're just not on their level right now. We'd be closer if Montori Hughes wasn't a complete moron.

Yeah, he could have tried a little harder. You can tell he misses Bray.

Has he quit? Based on his tweet from last week and that play, it seems like he has just given up on this year. I hope I'm the only one seeing it.

6-20 with 2 int's...pretty simple I agree. For the first time in his career CJC has to fall in love with pounding the rock. It'll be good for us in the long run.

Yep. The line took a step today. Let's hope that continues.

I would even take it a step further and ask how many of our starters on offense or defense at the beginning of the year would have started for any of the top tier teams? 2 maybe?!?! And remember most of the sophomores this year would have probably never seen the field last year at those schools. I think JH is the exception.

In the replay it looked half way down the field like Rogers thought it was a different route. He did a stud-er step thing. by the time he recovered it was to late. He did have a nice move after the INT making a would be blocker miss though.

With the righ read on that play, I believe it was Downs without a Tiger within 15 yards of him over the middle and UT is up 7-0 or has 1st and goal
