Okay - I'm kidding. We've still got a little discoloration around the eye from that Bruce Pearl petition so many moons ago. Thankfully Rick Barnes has almost completely closed the book on that sorry chapter of UT roundball history and has the men's program at arguably it's highest perch ever. Pitchforks and dumpster fires are no longer part of the lexicon on the men's side. Life is good.

Ironically it's the lack of a dumpster fire that confounds the Lady Vol program, insuring a status quo that is neither satisfactory nor totally unbearable. Holly wins enough to get an extension, wins enough to mostly fill the lower level of TBA, but nobody believes she'll ever cut another net down here again. The talent is there but it's not disciplined, or held to account. In-game adjustments are lacking, and endgame decisions are dreadful. But....20 wins, 3rd, 4th, or 5th in the conference, round of 32...extension. Rinse and repeat.

No petition, no pitchforks. Just purgatory.

Let's do it because, it's going to be worst. We can't be here and have this so call Holly destroy our program. If she was coaching mens she would've been fired 3rd yr.

Let her retire at the end of a horrible season. Take some money and hire a really first class woman’s coach. There are a lot out there who would love to come to us. She has had enough time to win big but it has not happened nor will it. Retire to Florida and enjoy yourself,Holly

Why wait until the end of the season? Retire her now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if that has ever happened in women’s college basketball?
Lady Vols under Pat used to set the trends in wcbb - why not set a new one now for old times sake? Mid-season "resignation/early retirement request"....sure why not?
