Just a week ago Tennessee was curb stomped by Kentucky.

Last year Georgia ST smacked Tennessee in the mouth.

You think moving to The ACC would help?

100% for several reasons.

1) we face demographic challenges. Schools like Florida, Georgia, and LSU can screw up coaching hires and make other colossal mistakes and due to the talent in their yard be semi decent. We can’t.
2) I’ve seen enough in 20 years to see this univerisity is not serious about going cut throat like Alabama and Auburn do to maintain our status. We seem to believe in doing things a different way. Which is fine—except when you “live in the same neighborhood”. If we aren’t willing to go that route we need to move.

Time to embrace our inner basketball, sign me up for the football afterlife in the ACC

Says the soyboy [you] who is okay with losing by 30 points any time we play a good team?

Ok witn that? Nope. I am just not one of the idiots on a message board who thinks he can actually do anything about it. Whats your solution? Not buy any merchandise? Not go to any games? Or just complain on a message board?

It’s over for Pruitt. Unfortunately fulmer will be able to fight it for at least 2 more seasons (after this one). But not for ut football. One of these days we’ll have the right administration in there and the right coaching hire will be made.

Yep.. If you're going to play in the same sandbox you have to get your hands dirty or get out. You can't expect to be Alabama and these other teams without doing the same things they do. We're not going to go there and it's why we no longer are competitive with these programs.

Yes but players from the NE, Cali and other talent rich areas want to play for a team that is almost always in the the title hunt. A team that loses to a directional GA school, get blown out by Kentucky at home and is the hapless opponent to other teams' TD on ESPN wrap shows? A team with a 85% losing record against Bama, UF, GA, LSU isn't going to continue to get talent on a national basis.

Well, the tide absolutely sucked back in the late 90's-2006 , so who knows? But I'll tell you what; that old " POUND THE ROCK " stuff that Phil is so fond of, will just get you beat nowadays.
