For those regulars here, there have been two schools of thought. Over zealous battered vol syndrome fans reacting to the winning streak with much optimism. Others who claim the streak was to inferior competition and the Vols barely won a couple of those.
Face it - we are a bipolar fanbase - and the game thread of last nights Gator bowl is a microcosm of the team and the whole season. That game had supporting evidence for every possible negavol ,posivol , love coach, fire coach..opinion. In other words, it didn't solve anything and may have made it worse. You couldn't have asked for a better scenario to keep things stirred up until Saturday, Sept 5, 2020 when the Charlotte 49er's roll into Knoxville.
QB battle will be the hot topic, with the same mixed feelings coming out of the Orange and White game. Bench JG.. Redshirt Bailey...
Can we beat Florida and Oklahoma in games 2 and 4 of next season?
Which freshman will "step up"?
How about this: Tennessee on a 4 bowl win streak. By the end of the season, Tennessee will be tied for 4th in the longest winning streak in Division I going into next season.
Buckle up.. Ya'll got strong opinions and many days to voice them. Gonna be some fireworks. I'll hang up and listen.
