This is the worst UT team of my lifetime. The team Coach Majors took over in 77 was horrible, but this one is far worse. It took Majors 8 years to get the Vols back to a championship level. How long will it take this time. Much longer I'm afraid. Only time will tell.

What was the Vols record in 77? I wasnt born yet.

What? lol..... they had to defend on 3 turnovers and spent all day starting in their own territory.... sheesh

They gave up over 400 yards to a Gary Crowton offense and got carved up by UAB.

We are young people...My God!!! 3 Turnovers in First Half that Ga scored on. Hard to bounce back from that.I cant wait for this team to grow up. Justin Hunter is a beast!!!!!! Bray looked good also. Bright future ahead!!!!! Those who want to dwon this team all the time are not true fans....GO root for Bama!!!!! Go Big Orange!!!!!!
Thanks. I have another nugget to add to my true fan handbook.

Well, we'll just need to be patient and wait for all the 2 and 3 star recruits to show up in the next couple of years. Then we should be able to beat the likes of UAB in regulation and maybe hang within 2 TD's of UGA.

This is what bothers me most is on D. Granted we are very thin @ DT but otherwise depth isnt much of an issue on that side of the ball. Tackling is horrific and not showing much improvement. The attempt Evans made on the 2nd half kickoff was almost comical.

You would have thought the half time talk would have fired them up to get them going. Then Art Evans comes right out on the opening KO and attempts to and it wasn't even considered an attempt. He's the worst player by far on our defense. Art "1st Down" Evans.

lol we have no depth.... it was 23-7 after the first half.... they get tired playing 60 minutes without subs

We will be much better next year - mark it.

I go back to the '79 season and this team is much worse than the '88 squad and rivals the '80 team for the worst team in my time.

Honestly, I can understand the frustration. But this is far from the worst vols team I have seen in my lifetime. Some of Majors and Fulmer's teams were pretty bad. Like the poster said earlier, we are just young. I still think people should enjoy beating us now cause 2 years from now we will have our revenge...

I feel like Fulmer's last season was even worse. I say that because of how bad we were on offense. We couldn't buy a first down that year. Even though that defense was pretty good, offense is the more entertaining part of supporting a football team. This offense is a smidge better.

this offense is MUCH better than the '08. We couldn't figure out how to score on Wyoming. This team is not good, but I don't feel hopeless when we have the ball.

He seems to be enjoying himself. He left a legacy on the program that makes me want to puke.

Yes...it has nothing to do with the good he did for a period of time, but all the crap we see today is a results of what he did to the program over the couple of seasons. He lost focus, did not recurit well, and his teams played without passion for the game.

Its funny how the agruments get twisted....bottom line, he damaged the product and was terminated....that happens in life. Recovery will take time.
