Yes Duke fans are salty about being ranked #2 on January 21st.

I always have kept up with Duke as well as Tennessee. Tennessee fan through and through but pull for Duke any time except for when they play Tennessee. That being said Duke got beat by a non ranked syracuse team and home. They deserved to drop in the rankings.

Nothing wrong with celebrating a stop at the #1 spot in the polls. Sure, it’s fleeting and means little at this point in the season.

But considering we still speak about that one time we wereatop the polls a decade ago, I’d say this is significant and worth celebrating for the time being.

Now let’s get that W in Nashville this week and extend our streak past one week.

At least they didn't photoshop something this time and claim it as reality. Maybe the AP is turning a corner?

Three years ago this team was coming off a 88-74 L to Vandy and went on to go 15-19 for the year. Now this team is sitting atop the rankings with a 16-1 record and a legit chance to win the title. Rick Barnes, Staff and players deserve a ton of credit for the hard work put in.

The fact people think a high school recruit is picking Tennessee solely for the fact they are ranked number one, instead of two, on the January 21st poll is laughable. If you want to argue that it is a celebration for the program, just because it has only happened once, then that is fine.

Your right. But going from pre season 13th in the SEC to number 1 nationally in 15 months might get their attention.
