Can someone just entertain me and explain to me what the point of this type of theatric smoke and mirrors is? I mean, to distract everyone's attention towards activity at another school? To say you've offered the job to a set # of candidates so that it keeps the media busy in all those spots? What is the true nature of covering up a so-called "big fish"? (yes I know I should be beaten for the reference)

Isn't it slightly more realistic to think these people are just turning us down?

ESPN just reported Dooley from La Tech is in the piture. Where did he come from and why would we hire him? Anybody know anything about him? I am hoping the OP is correct!
