It's my day

Crazy being up north I have Yankee buddies they tell me all the time people are more racist up north. But they've told me Memphis is just like that old school hate from blacks and whites.. Hard to explain it. Blacks are racist here in Memphis, I remember going into an all black church on a medical call at work and remember the preacher saying the devils are in the house it was 4 white guys helping a person who passed out.

I have found more racism here in Cookeville than I ever encountered up in MI. And we were considered rednecks up there: Farm, Horses, Pigs, 35 acres of hay, etc.

I cannot stand some of the stuff I hear in this town. Makes me sick to my stomach. It is a LOT of the reason that I have about 3 friends here, about 10 people who tolerate me, and the rest hate me. I dont put up with their racist crap.

Anyways, Im sure it's because of the size town I am in. I love it when we go to Knoxville. I would live there if i could. Nice place. And the diversity is a HUGE attraction. I just dont like the way people are treated around here in Rednecksville.

one of my foster kids was....well....darker than yer lilwoman, and we were at school once a week for a year and a half. So many stupid things were said and done to her. That kid graduated, went to basic training, and hasnt been back in this town since. But she still calls me once a week, and sends me fathers day cards!!! Thats my Sunshine!

Thanks Nerd and Heart, she is a good wench.

Yer wife is beautiful. Great smile.

Your kid looks like he is going to be a freaking stud. I probably missed it, can you give me the cliff notes version: How old is he? Does he play ball? and keep him away from my daughters, please and thank-you! haha.

Looks like a good kid man. :good!:

and I am going to brag about my birthday present, which is the last 5 seconds of this video. My son had some issues with laziness and eating. As you can see, he still has a little pouch, but you should have seen where he was headed. His first NAGA tourney in March was really brutal, as he was beaten badly 3 straight times. I expected him to quit, but he didn't. He lost 8 lbs since March to compete against smaller kids. He did this on his own and by us eating better and helping. I lost 6 myself. I didn't force any extra running or Todd Marinovich dad type stuff. I just reminded him of his goal and had him write down the things he needed to do to get there. He hasn't been good at a few things he has tried, and his low self esteem was affecting us all. This video is his first fight this weekend. The last 5 seconds are something I'll never forget, and Ethan and I both needed it as well. I wanted to share because I am so proud of him, and I think he'll remember today for the rest of his life, as will I.

And I share with the zoners, who are my people.

ok, finally got the time to watch the video. That's friggen awesome. :good!::good!:

I respect you tremendously for raising foster kids. That has got to be really tough.

Thanks. It is tough sometimes, but usually is very rewarding. We have had 2 or 3 that were tougher than others. We've had 2 or 3 that were more rewarding than others.

We had one 15 year old that tried to fight me....in the words of Lebron, "not one, not two, not 3...." I think maybe it was 3 times. That kid had a case of the crazies!

It's pretty cool when you can see that you make a difference in someones life. Someday i will link my fostercare blog here, but I dont know if yall want to know me that well yet. haha.
