Its looking more and more like we will head west

Kind of weird that we would accept a bowl bid with a 3 win season...but we are way above hiring a "weird guy like Leach"...or someone "like Freeze."
Not weird at all considering in a "normal season" our record would be about 6-6 or 7-5.
and Leach and Freeze have a losing SEC record too

The whole season is weird. You have two teams in the same conference - one team has played 10 games, the other has played 5. You have a team playing for a conference championship in a conference that they don't belong to. You have a team playing in a conference championship even though they are second in their division because the team that won their division had to forfeit. I've said it before - this season will ALWAYS have an asterisk beside it. If they are invited to play another game, I say let them play.

If they are offered a bowl game, and if the kids want to play, then play. If they decided to not play, I would support that too! Really, it is none of my business! I don't play on the team, I don't even have to watch if I don't want to so why would I say they "should not" play.

Think I heard on the radio that schools probably would be forced by SEC to go play if given the chance in order to get their share of the conference money. Not sure if that’s true or not.
they will just play the covid card and opt out

I suspect this is correct. Turn down a bowl invite and the school will probably not receive a share of the SEC bowl payout. Anyone know for sure?

What IF after the TAMU debacle, Phil chit cans Pruitt. The team gets invited to a bowl and Phil coaches the team in the bowl and at half time, it’s announced the Hugh Hefner Freeze has been hired as the next coach ? Does that sound good or what

Who really cares. We might as well go to the toilet bowl. 3-7 and we are talking about a bowl game. Say that real fast. We suck. Fulmer gave an extension, we have got to keep him another year. Coaches will be leaving and we will not get any good coaches because everyone knows Pruitt will be fired by the 9th game next year. We just thought Butch an Dooley were bad.

Best I can tell, this team has been headed South for most of the year. I don't see that changing this year!

Really accept the bowl bid and appreciate it. Younger players will gain confidence and experience. Whenever has it been a redshirt year for everyone? This can make up to some degree for missing spring practice. Heck I want to see this squad match up with an out of conference opponent. would love to go to Music City Bowl for sure.

Would love to see Tennessee/Pittsburg in Nashville Music City Bowl. This would be a nod to Coach Johnny Majors who was from Middle Tennessee. I could see this being a great tribute to one of the States own.

Hope to heck this bowl game doesn't give coaches a raise for getting a bowl!!!
I think I saw where the assistants already declined any bonus they might get for a bowl game. Think they are trying to save face for declining pay cuts earlier in the season. Too late for that.

Just when you thought the everyone gets a trophy society get get no lower and gets rewarded for mediocrity. And we thought TSSAA football was bad. Guess no one wants to wave the white flag and call it quits. The bowls or the schools - who wins? I guess the coaches can claim they went to a bowl game, ask for a raise and put it on their resumes.

Yeah 3-7 is awful but 3-8 would be unthinkable. This would beat the Butch team all time low. Considering they were 4-8.
