It's Les Miles

OP. He went 114–34 while coaching in the SEC W...... Please check yourself. If you dont want that guy to coach our team take your orange and go burn it.
His teams were at around a ten-point disadvanage going into every game due to his coaching incompetence. His clock management was the worst I've ever seen. He had a glut of talent at LSU that overcame his game mismanagement for a while. Then his luck ran out, and we all saw Miles for what he is...a sad, old clown with more shoe polish in his hair than Dave Hart.

Miles - HC
Tee - OC
Steele - DC
Gillespie / Graham - RB
Sanders - QB
Dale Jones - LB
McCleskey / Peerless - WR

Fill in the rest. I'll take it.

With all that has went on as of late. We will be lucky to have a coach like Les Miles! I can live with 10 or 11 wins a year with a shot of the winning the EAST every year and possibility of making the playoff

You need either a program stabilizer or a young buck that's willing to spit on supermans cape. Les would be a stabilizer. Or pick a young up and comer in the smaller conferences that you are willing to grow with

Does Phil have the cache to pull an established coach into this dumpster fire?

1. We cant hire a current coach. We squandered too much money on Currie's buyout and Schiano.

2. Davenport said she wanted someone who had coached in the SEC before as did Fulmer.

It's Miles, and he totally sucks. Get ready to be right back here in three years.

Gruden coached in SEC so did kiffin

Fulmer and Davenport both said they wanted a coach with SEC head coaching experience. Besides Miles, who else is there that fits that mold? Tommy Tubberbille? I'd rather have him than Miles. I could live with Ears. Houston Nutt? Nope. Don't want him.

Is anyone concerned about Mile’s stubbornness?

That’s pretty much the reason why he got fired.

Can he step away from his offensive philosophy to improve UT or does he want to be like Butch and control everything?

That’s what worries me about Miles.

I'd be ok with that, but I don't see why Tee or Steele would leave the current jobs they have, which by the way are in better shape than UT right now

There's too much misinformation about Les Miles. Miles was never liked by a large group of LSU fans because he was not Nick Saban. How many coaches follow a great coach and still win, not many, just ask Florida for starters. If Alabama would not have backed into the NC game, LSU would have beat Okie State and Miles would have more wins against Saban and still be at LSU. When LSU and Bama played for the NC Miles record against Saban was 3 wins against 2 loses. If Miles had beat Saban/Bama in the NC game Miles would have been up 4 wins to 2 loses against Saban. There are many other things that happened to LSU that hindered Miles last 4 years.

How many coaches have had the success Miles has had in the SEC and again Saban? Not many and not any coach that is available except for Miles. Miles is chomping at the bit to get back in and with Fulmer's experience should be able to work with Miles to bring UT back to glory and beat Saban.

UT desperately needs to stabilize the program, and Miles would deliver that. Once Miles stabilizes the program then UT can put a groomed T Martin or someone else to take over.

Hope not. Guy got fired for not winning with Louisiana talent. Right now we are lacking in talent and this recruiting class is a bust.

Miles got fired because he made a bad hire. If you are trying to question Miles record or ability to coach, then you are going to lose badly.

With Currie being fired with cause, Schiano isn't getting squat from an MOU with only Currie's signature on it. He can feel free to waste his money in the court system, but he doesn't have a legal leg to stand on.

I will happily take Les Miles.........only reason why LSU fired him was because he couldn't beat Saban. Only two coaches that I can think of have been able to beat him more than once, Gus M. and Hugh Freeze.

Miles is a proven winner with Championships under his belt. I would take him in two seconds.

He has beaten saban 3 times.as well as fulmer and company.

I've heard Les a few times from Knoxville. Everyone saying why not call Les. Could it be that Phil has Les on hook but only if he is AD?

Following that logic you could bring in Tee as OC for coach in waiting and bring in Kevin Steel as DC. That would be a pretty good start and everyone might start to say that the struggle was worth it.

I believe Sumlin also beat Satan with Johnny Football.

I will say it again. If Les is such a great coach why hasn’t someone already scooped him up? He has actively campaigned for multiple jobs.

Miles would be a good hire, having said that, Miles, like Fulmer and Richt, always managed to coach himself out of a win or two.

It would be a wonderful hire. Great recruiting. Sent a ton of guys to the NFL. Not afraid to take chances. He would be the best hire.

It's not even about wins and losses to me for a couple years. It's about stability, respectibility, and just overall not being a dumpster fire joke laughing stock. Baby steps.

He was fired because he failed/refused to put a 21st century offense on the field and couldn’t beat the teams that matched him in team talent.
