Butch jones must ride JG to success to keep his job. Jones O scheme produces when working. It's clear our offense is not working. To keep his job, he needs to win all but 2 games. There is only one way that happens.
If you want to bash Scott, just stop reading. This is Jones' offense failing on the field. The same Jones offense that gave us numbers we haven't seen since the 90's, these recent seasons. You can scream Dobbs all you want, but if we'd had Deshaun Watson in that system. Jones most likely has an East title.
He did get JG though. The offense is not working, just like it wasn't working with Worley. Love the guy, but he wasn't the man for the job. Butch just gives too many sh!ts. I love that he cares so much about his players, but there comes a time where you have to look at your scheme and how it matches with your talent. With JG we all know that the offense will be completely different.
He needs to make his offense completely different, if he wants to go 8-4. Let's be reasonable. As pissed as we all are, Currie doesn't give sh!ts. He's not going to fire a coach for going 8-4 in a rebuilding season. With JG he has a chance of running his offense correctly.
If he gets JG going defenses will have a much harder time defending our young receivers. even if JG throws as many INTs as QD, the running game will still be more productive. I'm not defending Jones. I'm simply stating that I think he can save his job, and how he could go about it.
