Kids today like having as many uni combinations as possible. Kids love alternates. It does nothing to tarnish tradition. When I say "kids" it refers to current players as well as recruits.

So were wearing an ugly gimmick of a uniform for an irrelevant game nobody cares about for a noon kick with at best 85k in the stands? Hopefully these gimmicks catapult us into the top 30 and top 12 in the sec recruiting. Rock bottom seems to be getting lower and lower by the year.

Simple, clean look. Not too much going on. Helmet is ok. Overall thumbs up.

For the USC or OM battle, I would rather they wear the alternative uniform in a game they have a higher probability of winning. Don't want bad mojo around an alternative uniform.

I actually love the helmets. I was wanting a black helmet, but these are awesome! Imagine this helmet with our old
School away jerseys with black outline.

I get the idea, but that would look like crap after a few good collisions. It would also require a professional to paint every helmet and hope that it looks the way you wanted on short notice. The black helmets were expected to be here on time. The equipment staff can change face masks and decals. I think the current set up was a great fall back option.

I have always wondered what orange face masks would look like with either the home or away uniforms. That would be a subtle change to mix in occasionally.

That’s what put Oregon on the map.... at least for me as a kid that’s the ONLY reason I paid attention to Oregon. Their unis have been a huge part of their success.

I’m not a big fan of black uniforms, but it’s not about me. The helmet looks awesome.

I wish the numbers were white with orange trim. Can't stand it.

I just remember being at the 2009 game when they came out of the tunnel wearing black jerseys after they warmed up in the traditional orange, the place came unglued. The momentum carried over to the game. The Gamecocks had 2 or 3 turnovers in the first half. I just kept screaming great game plan Spurrier.
There were three Gamecock Co-eds sitting next to my son and I that left and never came back right before half.

Never eliminate the traditional uniforms, but even those have gone through various iterations over the years.

Alabama can guarantee a championship ring if you come there for 4 years. Everyone wants to use Bama as an example, but they are the exception to the rule until Saban chooses to leave.
