"It's great to be a TN Vol" chant

Went to the bowl game and had an absolute blast. After the first quarter, I went to the men's room. I haven't heard "Its great to be a TN Volunteer" chant like that in the men's room for a long time. It was loud and proud. Reminded me of a FL or Alabama game from the 90's. Iowa fans just stood and looked amazed. Nothing needs changing.

Ha! Same experience here. Standing at the urinal taking a leak and suddenly the entire bathroom full of guys starts chanting it. It was awesome.

How about, "Smokey's callin while the Vols are hollerin: Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee (which would be in the rocky top melody)."

But for the record, it's Great to be a Tennessee Vol is amazing and should be supplemented, not replaced.

Self bump, because I want at least one person to offer their opinion on my suggestion, dangit. I think it's catchy, and all those hyphens took way too long to type on mobile for that to just get lost in forum limbo.

Edit a little while later:
I swear to Volhalla I will bump this thread every day until I get feedback. 😭

Basically you only need the first 8 seconds on loop. The entire crowd would make the "Oh Oh ohs" for five seconds, and then everyone hits the V-O-L-S on the 4 count spanning seconds 6 & 7. Loop it a few times and roll. I would say after the final round, the crowd finishes with a GO Vols GO!

And despite that we're men, you don't have to be a cheerleader to be a little creative.

I admit, that mental image swayed me somewhat. But, when Florida fans (or anyone) can chant it at Neyland just as easily as UT, it takes something away from the "specialness" of it to me at least. UT seems like just another football team when our fans chant that.

Hearing FL fans chanting "Its great to be a FLORIDA GATOR" destroyed any weight that chant may have carried.

"Its BEST to be a Tennessee VOL!!"

You might want to get that insecurity checked out.

How about "show your tits, show your tits"?

I honestly can't find a single flaw in this chant suggestion. I mean, if that just doesn't epitomize UT football in just a few words, I don't know what will. Plus, with enough crowd involvement, I'm sure it'll get the players' blood pumping. Forget my idea, this gets my vote.

IMO, it needs to be more specific. Otherwise, you may get this:

I haven't read a thread and ended up this confused since that "Volsaw" thread in summer 2012 (I think, seems like I was new and it was a pre-Dooley offseason)

Good, some suggestions are now coming in.

Yeah, it would have been better to propose a new chant that wouldn't necessarily replace "its great". Im thinking that's where all the resentment is coming from because some guys enjoy and have fond memories of chanting that.
