The players need to be careful what they post on the web. It can quickly become out of control and we have more negative publicity that we do not need at this time.

I don't post comments to be sarcastic. Once you put things out on the web, it is there forever and the players to be careful of that. The video of Jacques Smith was not that bad but, if the players start uploading videos and not understanding the possible unintended consequences of what they put out there, it could hurt the program. Things the public would not normally see, is now out there for viewing and criticism.:ermm:

I like the idea of a documentary of camp, but it probably won't happen.

That's true and given the recent history, as a fanbase we probably are a little leery of what the players are doing. I think a lot more gets posted than what most people realize and its generally harmless.

Edit - I was responding to Maniac. Have no idea about Chism.

I agree. Most of it is young kids being young kids and is harmless, but can quickly get out of control if left unchecked.

You can not be serious. Are you really that crotchety? Perhaps you didn't know that doing the "Dougie" or the "Stanky Leg" in your own dorm room is no longer a Secondary NCAA violation.

Holy Crap!!!!! A college freshman having fun!!!!! Someone put a stop to this!!!!! Someone tell him to delete his Facebook and YouTube accounts!!!!! Let him know that college is no place for this kind of shenanigans!!!!! You wake up and go to class, come back go to football, come home do homework, and then go to sleep. Repeat cycle for 4-5 years then go out in the real world because there is a lot less stress out there.

THIS IS COLLEGE!!!! NOT SPRING BREAK!!!! (which might I add is also up in the air now because of this display)

:eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol:

Interestingly, it seems CDD agrees to some degree with volmaniac71 as far as having some intelligent guidelines regarding what a player should be posting on the web.

Tough enough? Dooley will try his best GoVolsXtra

Social Media Policy: After extensive discussion with his staff, Dooley will inform the team of a policy for social media such as Facebook and Twitter, which have become extremely popular with athletes.

"They're tough issues,'' Dooley said. "To sit here and say you can't do something that is very common for that generation is pretty restrictive.

"I'm more from the mold you have to learn how to manage what you do. Manage it, and if you can't manage it, then you can't do it.''

Sounds like he will lay down some ground rules about what they should and should not be posting on the interwebs. Good for him for anticipating trouble and setting some rules in advance. :good!:

Do you seriously think this is thread worthy? Good god, some people do not understand that these are actual people, not just football players 24/7. They're in college, they are human beings, they are going to have a sense of humor and not think football all the time. Some people are so close minded
