It's Football Time In (Bristol) Tennessee

You guys see that Western Carolina and East Tn are playing at Bristol the next week? That's an odd chain if events. I'm a WCU homer all the way, but not sure I grasp this one. Setting record for most empty seats ever?

Make hay while the sun is shining. I hope they don't break our record the next week.

Those 40 and 50 dollar seats will come with very little view!!!Great concept but I feel the majority of fans will be pissed when they get to their seats with no view. Bring your telescope or binocs...lol

So normally, CBS gets first pick for each weekend's SEC games.

This being the most attractive football game in the SEC (the whole nation, really) that weekend, does that mean we're doomed to it being a 3:30 pm game on CBS?

Or does it being an inter-conference game free us from that contractual requirement?

I know there have been weekends in the past where they do not carry a game.

Seat assignments came out today from TN Fund.

Once again, screwed by the TN Fund on away tickets. We've had season tickets for years, lower level, 40 yard line. For away and bowl games, we are now 6 for 6: high and in the deep corner. They really should give better seats to faithful donors.

If Trump is otherwise unoccupied come November of 2016 maybe we can convince him to be our athletic director.

Then we can make a better deal on away game seating.

I received my seating today and I am not happy. Good thing they are putting up a huge TV so I can see anything. I called the ticket office at Bristol and was told I could upgrade. Only thing is that it would be on the Va Tech side.

I got "AK Terrace." I'm assuming that means Kulwicki Terrace. Can't say I'm happy with that considering I chose the highest priced option. I'd hate to see where the $50 per ticket folks are at.

I haven't bought tickets yet. This is kind of why I held off.
That and I live in Bristol and drive by the track daily and figure that if I can't find a ticket then I probably have no business calling myself a Bristolian.

Is anyone else having problems paying their balance for B@B? I got the email today, but every time I try to log in it gives me an error message and tells me to activate cookies, which I do but still can't log in.

ReBellVol, when I paid for ours this morning (Monday) the website was very slow and I was unable to print out the receipt as it froze up, they were really busy. If you can't get it to work, give the Tennessee Fund a call, you can also pay through them. 865 974-1218 I gave them a call and I was emailed a receipt.

Good Luck!

I think part of this is just that many of us are now realizing how far we really will be from the field. Oh well, it will be an experience, nonetheless. Glad they have the big screen (and I have DVR).

That's what I want is to be able to say that I was there for the biggest game ever...I don't think I'm going to buy tickets..Surely with how many there are out there, I'll be able to pick some up around gametime..if not I'll tailgate and watch it outside the track :)

That's one big damn TV screen, I tell ya wut.

Right - It's about half the size of the jumbotron in Neyland.

Neyland is 124 x 37

Bristol's new one is 63 x 30 (on each side)

Since the closest seats to it in Bristol are further away from it than the furthest away in Neyland it is going to be tiny.

After seeing my seat location I'm just going to give up the deposit I paid, it's simply not worth it for me to go sit in the hot sun and not be able to see the game. (I do predict an afternoon kick because Bristol doesn't have the lights for a football game.)

You can probably sell them to someone on here.

Mine are in the Richard Petty section; gonna keep all 12 of em!

They will do portable lighting. It will be a twilight or night game.
