Its being rumored that Marrone has been chosen.

THIS....RIGHT...HERE. AMEN TO YOU SIR
You are starting to sound like that guy who was worshipping Schiano before we kept his ass out of Knoxville...You must be a relative of Marrone because nobody here is honestly buying your "Oh he's the greatest thing since sliced bread act."

If it’s Marrone, the Tennessee fan base won’t even be mad at him. We skip straight to hatred of the administration for a constant repeat of this bulls*** they keep putting us through.

Saban was a failed.NFL coach too. So, I'd say we're headed to the top now, right? Phil doin' work.
I detect a hint of non blue footed sarcasm the LF. I think its hilarious too that people still try to tow the old “Saban failed in the NFL”. In 2 years he was 15-17. Not great but by NFL standards it’s decent. Had he stayed on as Dolphins HC he may have been an abysmal failure but I doubt it . We’ll never know because Saban decided , with the help of Mal Moore , that he was better suited for the college game . I wish he would have decided to stick around the NFL a little while longer and been successful. The college game now sucks for pretty much everybody that is not a fan of either Clemson, Ohio state, or Alabama. Yes that also includes the delusional Georgia fans.

Highly unlikely. BYU isn’t a good team. Slow on defense.

They were a good team this season. Look at their schedule. And they had perhaps the best QB in the country.

UCF is a Florida team. And BYU was plenty fast enough for them.

Chadwellś guys were mostly unranked or 2 star guys BOT.
His team wasnt even supposed to be top 50, much less top 15.

The only reason they were even ranked was because of COVID. They would have never made it even close to that in a regular season.

Chadwell is the flavor of the month because his offense lights up nobodies. Like I said, he would get eaten alive in the SEC. He isn’t ready imo. Also how do you know he could recruit for the SEC?

38-60 record as head coach in the NCAA.

They are just rubbing our faces in it now if this is who they picked.

They are trying to tell us something I think....

It’s something normally expressed with the use of a middle finger.

FWIW, winning in the NFL takes more than a HC. It is organizational. So how good are the two organizations he worked with? I almost never watch the NFL and have not followed it for a while.

Interesting that a CFB HC with a 25-25 record would get an NFL gig. A lot you can read into that positive or negative. Syracuse isn't a particularly easy place to win. His record was 25-25. They were 10-37 in the 4 years prior to him. They were 18-31 in the 4 years after him. They had 3 winning seasons in that 12 year span. Two were his and one was the season immediately after he left.

Cliff Kingsbury somehow got the Arizona Cardinals gig after a fairly mediocre record at Texas Tech too.

How could we know if he could recruit in the SEC if he hasn't coached in conference yet? Not a fair question.

However, in this scenario...you look at who has coached UT past 13 years. Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch never recruited for the SEC before UT. All 3 guys were able to sign 5 stars at some point to Tennessee.

Because Tennessee still attracts talent.
Chadwell is no stranger to the south either.

What we do know is that he can coach and get his players ready to play. Unlike Pruitt and his 2nd half collapses.

Do you honestly Chadwell would go 3-7 with our roster???

Caldwell and Freeze are such no Brainers that it seems insane to me that anyone would consider Marrone over them. It seems about 99% more likely Doug Marrone would not work over a guy who made Coastal Carolina number 12 in the country just a few years into being an FBS team and a guy who did basically the same with Liberty, plus beating Bama twice with Ole Miss. Marrone is a safer pick maybe? Its a conservative pick. I cant imagine any other program that would be capable of ignoring Freeze and Caldwell for Doug Marrone.

How could those two guys be counter to UT's culture? Or is it counter to the way Philip Fulmer thinks? Lots of people want Fulmer gone, but how much do we really know what kind of person Fulmer is?
Well... we know he's a backstabber.

I’d Love to know the win/loss record of all the coaches you “flavor of the month” idiots swore would be the next coming of Urban Meyer...let’s see who we got here...
1. Fedora
2. Morris
3. Frost
4. Muschamp
5. Brohm
6. Sumlin

ALL those coaches at some point in the last 8 years have been y’all’s saving grace 🤣🤣🤣 now it’s Chadwell....
and your choice is?

The VolNation rumor cycle in a nutshell:

(1) Completely unsubstantiated rumor posted on VolNation ->
(2) Crappy sports media says they heard a rumor after reading it on VN ->
(3) People see rumor in media, think it's legit, and start sharing with other people; after all if it's in the media it must be true! ->
(4) Someone posts on VN about the rumor, after hearing it from a friend, who heard it from the media, who stole it from VN

Could be wrong, but I swear this is the cycle for like 80%+ of rumors.
Nailed it. Once again the King of Apparitions is spot on.
