That our best free throw shooter lays a goose egg. We lost that game at the line last night. Don't care about calls/no calls or threes by Michigan. That's the one trend that is always present when we lose in the tourney. If McRae goes 75% we prolly are ahead in the last minute. Anyone else see that over our last few tourney losses besides the Michigan assault in 2011?

I said earlier, that if we had only increased our FT or 3 point completions by 10% we win the game.

Yes, if we had made a few more free throws, we would have won.

Yes, Brian Williams shot a free throw that was an air ball and we ended up losing to Michigan State.

Yes, Ramar Smith missed an easy lay up and we lost that tourney game. Can't remember the opponent.

However; in 2010, when we lost to Michigan by 20, we could have make all of our free throws and we still would not have won that game.

As a whole, I am content with the end of this season. We all thought that this team was capable of doing what they did, but they sure took the hard way to get there.

Same results though. Sweet 16!!!!! It would have been nice if we didn't have to squeak in the tourney though.

I thought that we were capable of beating Michigan but I thought the game could go to either team, so I am not heart broken over this loss.

Had we beaten Michigan, I don't think we make it past the Elite 8 against Louisville or Kentucky....

The aggravating part is we had been shooting so well at the line, I would've much rather shot that way against UMASS or mercer.

Yeah I was shocked he shot so poorly from the line. I saw someone say that Richardson is turning into a better scorer than McRae and I think I agree. He is money from everywhere on the floor.

I said after the mercer game he's become our 2nd scoring option ahead of McRae, behind stokes. I was referring to just the tourney, but damn, he has really turned it on.

BTO-it has truly been "March Madness". To finally be one of the best 16 teams is not a bad fate for this team. :hi:

Vols won the 2nd half 37-28,the poor first half and 3-11 from 3 point arc was our down fall . Thanks guys you exceeded expectations considering the circumstances. :salute:
