It would great if...

Thanks Behr. It's good to be here.

Dad started buying season tickets from a guy he worked with in Knoxville and between the two of us we've been to every home game since the 2011 season, and the ritual of getting back up there in the hills of east TN, doing some tailgating, and hanging out with my father at the ballgames in the Fall is one of the things I most look forward to each year.

Kudos to you brother. Hate that you started such a great tradition during some of the leanest years in program history. But that should make it that much sweeter when the tide turns. Literally.

It will be wonderful to see Orange and White running through the T.

It will be amazing to feel the temperature change and know that we'll be watching Tennessee play ball.

Tailgating.

Beautiful girls wearing orange.

Gatlinburg after games and before coming home to Nashville.

Taking back Nashville, hopefully.

Knowing on Monday that I'm a few days away from Saturday.

Did I mention pretty girls in Orange?

Listening to my oldest boy pumping sunshine and trying to convince me to believe.

Tennessee mother effing Volunteers football.

How's that? 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

It would be great if in this one thread everyone that comments would post a realistic possibility about this season, a certain game or games, a position, the offense/defense etc. that would be great. Can it be done? Should be easy for all of us.

No rules. If you can't come up with anything at all, go ahead and do your thang. I don't see it as pumping sunshine, not that it matters anyway, just a time to talk about some good stuff.

I get really excited about a solid performance and win against Georgia Tech. I mean, can you imagine? It would be awesome to be able to discuss and talk about it afterwards.

I see the possibility of having a strong running game. I know Tennessee has been running well and AK killed it last year, but I am excited like I used to be knowing that Reggie Cobb, Chuck Webb, Aaron Hayden, Little Man Stewart, Charlie Garner, and many others were waiting to run wild.

I think Tennessee can expect long runs this year. I miss those highlights being expected by Tennessee backs.

I hope for a relatively injury free season.

I'm looking forward to seeing Shoop's D ran the way he wants it with no modifications.

I'm excited to see the difference the new assistant coaches bring to the team and hope they all gel as a unit and make the team better.

Most of all I'm looking forward to every single game, every snap, celebrating every victory and mourning the losses.

It's CFB and it's the best time of the year..

Actually just said what i was thinking at the time. Much like always. Didn't give it much thought. Lol

I'll explain what I meant later.

I'm excited about all of that too, even excited for you and your son. I can't say it enough, that's what all of this is about! I think it gets lost sometimes in all the crap, but the best part about Tennessee Football is still alive and well.

Those were my favorites!! Knowing at any time on any play a running play could be taken to the house! After Stephens in '01, I didn't feel that way till Hardesty and haven't since.

...if all these kids stay healthy and are able to play their best football this fall.

Had some of the best rushing attacks in school history, including the second most rushing yards in school history two years ago, and you haven't felt anyone had the ability to break a long one? I felt that anytime Dobbs or Kamara had the ball in open space that they could house it. Not understanding how you feel that way considering the success of the rushing offense recently.

I think it's more the mindset that Hurd wasn't going to break any and Butch would've kept pounding him if things hadn't happened the way they did.

Dobbs did have that ability as well. Nobody said that Tennessee hasn't been running.

That's why I didn't mention Hurd. He usually got caught from behind. But Dobbs, Kamara, and now Kelly are absolutely home run threats. And that is why I gave my response to the original poster who said he has felt like we haven't had anybody to break a big run. The reason I mentioned the rushing success from recent years is because that would also be indicative of offensive players with the ability to break long runs. If he had said the same thing about the Rajon Neal to Marlin Lane years I could understand. But recent teams have had a lot of explosive ability on the ground.
