We could have a season with few if not any injuries, no off field stupidity, and a couple of lucky breaks..... My God its been years..

I been looking forward to KB being excited and positive about our program practically since I arrived here, and really thought we got there last fall when we took down Florida. If it weren't for USCe and Vandy, I think he'd have been there, too. Here's hoping this is the year. KB is, for me, the canary in the coal mine. If he makes the switch, everyone reasonable will have as well.

Those are some of the biggest "it would be great if" points, for me.

It would be great if this new staff can gel together and become a truly championship staff. I think they can.
It would be great if the players potential turns into production. I think this can happen also.
It would be great if we as fans united behind this team and show the football world we are the greatest fanbase on Earth!

Its just around the corner. It would be so exciting for this staff to pull it all together and get us to Atlanta. Make the needed adjustments after season and pull in a top 5 recruiting class next year. Just can't wait.

None of this is unreasonable.

To many unknowns to get a solid prediction. We have talent and some better coaches than in the past. Will our thin DL stay heathy? If so we could be better than many think. Unfortunately the sec will take its toll and our d will suffer from losses on the line by the Bama game. Winning the east will be no small feat with Bama and lsu on the scheduled. We need to beat everyone in the east heads up. What two more DL could do for us.

...my dad and I have another great season of traveling to Knoxville and watching the Vols play ball at Neyland.

It would be great if...

...that season includes the Vols winning all the games they should and a few that they honestly shouldn't win.

Dad started buying season tickets from a guy he worked with in Knoxville and between the two of us we've been to every home game since the 2011 season, and the ritual of getting back up there in the hills of east TN, doing some tailgating, and hanging out with my father at the ballgames in the Fall is one of the things I most look forward to each year.

I think UT will get its first win over the West during Jones' tenure this year.

I also think if Jones has genuinely changed... UT could surprise everyone and win the East with a 10-2 regular season.

That's what it's all about. I started this thread for more than one reason and your post covered a couple. Thanks.

My dad doesn't care about any sports. It's weird because he played football in high school and was really good from what my grandparents, mom and other members of the family say, but for whatever reason he just doesn't have any interest in it.

Anyway, he went to the Alabama game with me in 94, the first and only game he's ever been to. We lost, but that is at the top of my favorite memories of time together with him.

It would be great. You do realize that IF we get to Atlanta it will be solely because the players got after it in spite of the coaching?
