Honestly, I won't care if Tennessee stays with Addidas. But it's sad enough to me that some recruits commit to schools that have "Nike". It still irritates me how Josh Selby decommitted from Tennessee ,because Tennessee wasn't affiliated with Nike. I agree Nike is good ,because it would be good for our football and basketball programs. But if you guys want "awesome" uniforms, I suggest Under Armour. Under Armour really specializes in uniform designs.
The black uniforms were a step last season but it has become painfully obvious that we need to get new uniforms.
A new uniform design will go a long way to helping put a stamp on this new era of UT football. Hopefully nothing too dramatic but we must return the 2 stripes to the sleeve that we wore throughout the 70's and 80's.
Adidas needs to do their job or we will end up switching to Nike or Under Armour.
i doubt we'll renew our contract with addidas. i'm sure kiffin will push for nike.
If some fans think that winning is based on unis....maybe we should throw in some baby blue like the lady vols. Ask Pat if it's the colors or the hard work and dedication to the University.
And why don't you ever hear any Penn State fans talk about needing new uniforms, especially since their uniforms are the plainest, most boring in the business? Could it be that uniforms don't make the player?
Did you not see my post explaining how teams with plain/classic jerseys DO have the dri-fit material. Im tired of our shiny jerseys, we would look great in that "dri" look. Also if ANYTHING needs to be done, the stripes should be removed from our pants. All white pants like the old days look MUCH better.

They tried that in 1987. Columbia Blue trim on the numbers. Looked decent on the home uniforms except they looked like somebody screwed up an order of the old Tampa Bay jerseys. It looked awful on the road jerseys. That being said, I hope we never see the Columbia Blue trim again on any of the men's athletic wear. There was only one thing that looked good with the 1970s and 80s Columbia Blue and Orange, and that was an orange hoodie with the block Tennessee in white with the blue trim. I still have mine from 1988.:rock2:

I don't remember this from 1987. Anyone have pictures?
