We don't want to lose him as a Vol fan. . .but his assessment of the uniforms is ridiculous!

Look at all the top programs: USC, Ohio State, PSU, Michigan, Alabama. . .do they change uniforms when a few bad years occur??? The orange and white is as classy a uniform as there is in the country! Everyone knows that UT orange is UT and UT only! Why go the black route when so many others have used that gimmick??

If some fans think that winning is based on unis....maybe we should throw in some baby blue like the lady vols. Ask Pat if it's the colors or the hard work and dedication to the University.

We are Tennessee Orange and White. If you want to see us in a different color then do what they did back in the 70's and get you some LSD. Then you can see them in whatever color you darn well please. And they will probably look good too.

disagree. if he doesn't like the uniforms tennessee has made famous, there are three other d-1 schools in this state with faddish rags and no history. don't let the doorknob hit him...

The difference between our jerseys and all of the other schools that wear classic jerseys is that the material made of them is outdated.

All of those^^ schools have timeless unis that are updated with current technology. I know what you're thinking "Nike School", but Adidas can keep it simple and use drifit material too:

SO we can stay with adidas and still get an updated version of our shiny unis (which really look 1990s). Nike would be nice, ans UnderArmour does pretty good with Auburn's unis. Im all for preserving the classic orange and white, but I think the "dri" look would be a great update (all while keeping the same design"

I just wish we would get the oranges to match. Jersey does not match the orange in the helmet or the stripes.

what good are new uniforms, they wont make us any better, just waste money.
the black unis gave us lots of energy against USC but that was a one time thing, different unis cant get you pumped up for every game

The warmups definitely need updating - especially with the problems we've been having with our student athletes the last couple months.

I wouldn't mind having somewhat of a sharper look to the uniforms.

Seriously we were just referred to in a major motion picture as wearing "Gaudy Orange." And I'm not saying replace the orange, come on be reasonable. But maybe add some extra white or black design with the orange. Nothing that would be construed as an eyesore, but something *slightly* different. Change is good people, it's a life lesson.

Honestly, I won't care if Tennessee stays with Addidas. But it's sad enough to me that some recruits commit to schools that have "Nike". It still irritates me how Josh Selby decommitted from Tennessee ,because Tennessee wasn't affiliated with Nike. I agree Nike is good ,because it would be good for our football and basketball programs. But if you guys want "awesome" uniforms, I suggest Under Armour. Under Armour really specializes in uniform designs.

thinking on it, maybe there's a point to all this. if the bowl performance is any indication, maybe the vols ought to go mod, say texas tech or missouri or cincinatti. they don't deserve to wear the uniforms other vols made feared. when and if they get their groove back, let them back into the traditionals. (like pat, moving the lady vols out of their dressing room).

I like our uniforms, but Addidas needs to go away. Their fan gear sucks and you can't find much of it. Go to Nike's web site and you can buy pretty much anything from one of their teams. Stay away from UA, after watching their AA game Sat they promote the thug image.
