It doesn't matter what scared ass UF does to back out of games.
- we control our destiny and Karma is a beach

It doesn't matter where or how Hurd got injured. It does matter that we show him love for helping us get here.
- Not having him will hurt, but it's always next man up. This is why you recruit.

It doesn't matter what the pollsters, Vegas, or commentators say our chances are in this game or any game.
- 120 has got this. They believed even when the best of us didn't.

Bottom line, 120 left the hand wringing phase behind two games ago. We exorcised our past FB demons with a Hail Mary and a baptism by fire.

Focus on our team, our games, and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm with you OP. I haven't felt this good in a long time. We haven"t had a complete game yet and we are 5-0. Something special is gonna happen Saturday.

Team 120 is resilient if nothing else. Hard to predict an L when we are finding ways to win. I like our chances even without some of our studs on the field. GBO

LSU started trying to get UF to make contingency plans days ago. LSU was willing to play Sunday, Monday; Gainesville, Baton Rouge. Foley wouldn't have any part of it. I don't know what's in another man's mind, but if he was trying to get out of the game this is what it would look like.

Reading that had me seeing Bill Murray.

You're right. The only thing that matters is the Vols WTA!

Next up...A&M

Espn reporting Florida offered to make the game up on 11/19 and LSU is refusing saying at this point they want the game canceled with no make up.

Can't fault either for not wanting to give up the revenue of a lost home game, and can't fault FL for giving up home field to travel to LSU.

Think about it from our perspective. What If something threatened our ability to play Florida at home this year and Fl offered to play the game in FL. We wouldn't simply say, SURE!! We'd fight tooth and nail to retain/ reschedule for the home advantage of neyland stadium. I hate Florida as much as anyone but we can't really fault them for doing what's best for their fans and their program.

These two teams play every year. You move the game to Baton Rouge and then you play the next two games in Florida to make up for it. Easy peasy. If it were UT and UF then it would be the same deal.

LSU offered to play in Gainesville on Sunday just like Georgia agreed to do for SCAR. Florida said no. They are simply punking out of this game, period. And they are doing it to attempt to screw us over and back their way in to the SECG. we damn well better win one of the next two or both so they don't have that chance.

There was an offer of Gainsville on Sunday or Monday.

There's no proof of that. The only thing we know is LSU offered to HOST Sat, sun, or Monday.

I am not trying to keep anyone from discussing a particular topic but can we at least discuss it like we are 5-0? The "Woe is me sneaky UF that (narrowly vanquished Vandy) might back in the SECCG now that backed out of a conference game" doesn't sound like SECE champ worthy.

They could play at a neutral site. Logistics are always tough, but the two teams and the SEC started discussing a venue change first thing Tuesday AM. Canceling an OOC game isn't the same as canceling an SEC game that can affect team standings.

And yet Miami,FSU,UGA,USC, and others ALL managed to reschedule a timely make up. University of Forfeit is the only one who can't make it work. Odd.

OP, I had this same feeling of calm during the Georgia game. I fought off my initial frustrations and realized that we are not the same team from years past. No matter how bad it got I felt like we got this.

First let me say y'all pull hard for our VOLS this Saturday, myself and family are right in the path of this hurricane. We live in Jacksonville and it has been made clear that we will be without power for days most likely as they are considering this a catastrophic storm. All that said, the word here locally is LSU was more concerned with safety to human life and offered many scenarios to play the game. Even offered to host in Tallahassee or other neutral Florida site. UF in essence wanted the game in Gainesville and wouldn't budge much. LSU just flat out refused to travel, but the greatest thing LSU did was offered all their hotel rooms to evacuees. Florida didn't want to essentially have 3 away games to LSU. Playing in November would make LSU have 3 SEC road games in 12 days. All that leads to my pissed off point, many gator fans are already talking about booking their trip to Atlanta, this includes local media and are perfectly ok with getting in on technicalities. Had a local sports radio person say even though UT won the game they lose in the end.

Well said. Prayers to you and everyone in the path friend.

For 120 and our season control what you can control.

I didn't think it was possible to hate Florida more than I already do but if this happens and they jump us I may go "bama" fan on their azz and do bad things for many, many years to that university.

That is just crazy.. Heck I wouldn care to let LSU borrow Nissan stadium on Monday or Tuesday.. Not like the Titans are gonna use it anyway that evening.. They could always move practice.
