this is not intended to spread rumors, but I have heard from a friend of a friend (so take it with a grain of salt, however the 2nd friend is aparently a grad assistant) that apparently donnie came into one of the initial players meetings when he was just being introduced to everyone (and this was predeparture for thompson, davis and recruits) and was throwin around f-bombs and cussin like no ones business and not being very mature.

No, and quite honestly, why would he or any other coach for that matter, do this in his first meeting with a new team at a dream job that just doubled/tripled his pay? Not saying it didn't or couldn't happen, but that would be enormously stupid. It would also appear to be totally out of character by all accounts that I've heard of him at this point.

I definitely think that played a factor. But I blame that same demeanor on the slow starts for the last 3 years. College kids need a sense of urgency instilled in them sometimes. And sometimes words don't do it, actions need to be taken. And not just throwing them on the bench if their not responding. jmo

Players commit to a coach and not the school majority of the time, not a shock. Tyndall said this himself, that players were committing to him and not USM.

It's not that simple, it is far more complicated than that.

You can't take the people aspect out of recruiting. If these players and their parent felt comfortable with Martin then I can understand them wanting to take a step back and reevaluate things. Secondly if certain players leave you can't blame them. At the end of the day they need to be in a system that fits their skill set, a coach they are comfortable with, and where they feel they will have the most success.
