It appears Paul Bain has been put on scholarship

Yes! I would love to be a fly on the wall when coaches discuss his performance. He physically looks the part but something is off.

Agree. I dont think he played much HS football did he? I think I remember reading that about him. If true, I think that hurt him. Of course that along with extremely poor coaching the past few years.

Glad to hear it. Hard work, desire, sacrifice and a love for UT to get up, go to practice, conditioning, weights, trainers, film study, classes, study and a couple jobs to pay his own way.

Well-deserved and am happy for Bain.

Great testimony to all the kids out there to work hard and not give up and good things will happen.

Correct. 1 year HS and 2 years in JUCO. But highly ranked.

Cutting out Champs might mess up his rhythm. And bank account. Would ask position coach on this.

Yes sir! That's what I'm talking about!
Congratulations, Paul Bain!

Yeah, when he blocked that would-be game winning field goal to give us the win over Georgia Tech, that was one of those plays
that revealed the character of a true competitor who rises to the demand of the moment and makes the play. Talk about clutch.
That play was do or die and Tennessee did...because Bain did.

"Oh, they'll win if they make this field goal at the end of the game?
No big deal. I'll just block it." You know, just another play on the football field.
Incredible. Then you read, hear, and see all these reports of his hard work, keeping his head down,
staying humble, good attitude, putting God and team first, and of course it was Paul Bain who recovered
the fumble for us Saturday.

What perfect timing too. First we read about a player quitting because he didn't play in one game, then
you put that next to Paul Bain who always did what was asked of him without demands or feeling entitled.

Some may wonder how or what makes the difference. It calls to remembrance these powerful words.

"For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." - Psalm 75:6-7

Patience, hard work, faithfulness, determination and belief pay off. Just look at the story of Tennessee's Paul Bain!

I don't think he's got a mean bone in his body. Probably help a mouse off a sticky trap. Put him at TE and block em then help em up. If he can catch that's a bonus.
