NoIt really is simple, let’s choose to be patient, support our team and university... including the current coach and administration. We are working against the objective right now.
I love tennessee football, I’m going to give support rather than criticism cause only one of those will actually add any value to my life or others.
Blah. This is a man being paid a lot I mean A LOT of money to produce a competitive positive winning product on the field every Saturday. It is his job. If you are not producing what you were hired to do...turning the work environment into a cancer...you get fired. We fired Dooley and Butch for less reasons than this clown has amassed in 3 seasons. It really is simple, let’s choose to be patient, support our team and university... including the current coach and administration. We are working against the objective right now.

The assumption that the University of Tennessee has any leadership is where the process breaks down, in my opinion Blonde Donde is worthless, blamed the Greek system organizations for the loss of football players to COVID tracing and tracking protocol, many of the national Greek organization leadership that met with her following her attempts to suspend their campus chapters came away less than impressed and wondering who actually ran the Knoxville campus, in my opinion Fulmer is only concerned about Fulmer, he must have spent that entire $6 million Tennessee paid him to go away, such that he is back, looting the department for pennies, nickels and times, completely in over his head in what was supposed to be an interim position, with no skillset to network through the current landscape of contemporary sports business and management, the game itself passed him by 15 years ago, his tenure as AD is marked already as predictable failure, he is not the only person who loves the university and all things Vol, he's just the only one getting $1.3 million a year for it and where is our university president who should step in to clean up this sheetshow on behalf of the State of Tennessee, but in my opinion he would rather dawdle on a new baseball stadium for his minor league baseball team in Sevierville, lining up taxpayer money to build it and redevelop some of the worn out property he owns in downtown Knoxville, rather than focusing on the day job of all things University of Tennessee, the Pruitt fiasco is not the problem, it is a symptom of the problem, a problem within a university deathly ill from a wholesale lack of leadership, polluted with mercenaries, hangers on at the trough, placed their not for their stellar credentials and vast accomplishment in the university field, but parked their by their cronies to execute their agenda.
If I saw any improvement in our program in 3 years, I’d agree. But I think we have regressed. I don’t think he’s the right guy. He’s a DC not an HC.I just feel like calling for an ADs head that has been largely successful concerning every other sport besides Football is narrow minded. Has Pruitt shown he is a capable coach, absolutely, does he need time to be a better head coach again yes. Let’s buckle up and support a guy I think wants to bring us back to prominence.
Op...I agree with the goal. Disagree with the steps to get there. I’d say Boyd or plowman get on the phone right now with freeze. Then take that conversation/terms to the booster group. What do you have to lose? Offending Pruitt? Give me a break. Texas didn’t apologize to Herman for inquiring about meyer. That way there never is a search.
The difference between winning and losing. Bama is a winning program and UT, uh.If Bama thought like this they would still have Mike Shula! They didn’t want to accept mediocrity and leadership identified their man and wouldn’t leave Miami till he signed. We on the other hand want to give Pruitt more time..
I like ur way better.
However, I don’t see Boyd or Plowman breaking protocol.

Boyd first needs to declare his interest in Freeze to Plowman, Fulmer, the BOT, the HOH, and all other big money people. If he’s unwilling to do that, the ball will never get moved. You either hire Coach Freeze now or you hire him next year and spend even more money in the process. If you let him get away to a LSU or another program that is willing to take him.....you lose. It would be the Tennessee thing to do...to be late in the process and play second fiddle. I am confident in the leadership that Boyd took last year in keeping Coach Barnes.....I am hopeful that he can see what needs to be done and can lead on this along with Plowman. With the news on Dylan Brooks today and the hopeful news on Simpson in the next couple of weeks.....now is the time....now is the time to set the future of the program. The loss of one generation of UT fans is enough. I would encourage the leadership on the hill to step up and do what needs to be done. We know what happens when you wait a year too long. We have a proven winner that would give anything to be here. I simply believe that this is the right time...very few opportunities present themselves this way. The table is set.....time to deliver. Go VOLS!!
EHNT! Buzzer sound for wrong answer.
He's had three years here and has failed miserably! It's way past time to move on from him.
Why is Freeze the only answer and don’t you think it’s pretty telling that Brooks signed and Cade announces he is coming back only after it is rumored that Pruitt solidified his position here with a plan for replacement coaches and strategy for success next year? You either hire Coach Freeze now or you hire him next year and spend even more money in the process. Not saying that Freeze is the only answer.....but I think we all know that he is openly campaigning for this job. I think it is interesting that the news on Brooks and Cade Mays came out today. I think that the ultimate decision will come from Boyd and Plowman. My only concern is that if CJP cannot get to 7 or 8 wins next year.....we are throwing away more money and lost revenue for another year. It was my hope and still is my hope that if CJP gets another year...that he is successful. I have always hoped that he would ultimately win here. The parallel looks the same to me as when Hamilton hired Bruce. Go outside the conventional UT box......I just happen to think that this is the prefect time. Why is Freeze the only answer and don’t you think it’s pretty telling that Brooks signed and Cade announces he is coming back only after it is rumored that Pruitt solidified his position here with a plan for replacement coaches and strategy for success next year?
Sounds good and makes sense I guess. I really think Freeze is off limits for the SEC, right or wrong... hope Pruitt makes next year work, THAT is the perfect scenario. Not saying that Freeze is the only answer.....but I think we all know that he is openly campaigning for this job. Screw that. i’ve been patient for a long time. I want and deserve glory. Nothing less.It really is simple, let’s choose to be patient, support our team and university... including the current coach and administration. We are working against the objective right now.
