It’s Gameday, can we drop the “woe is me” garbage already?

Haha. That group was right here complaining about Twitter users, making fun of protesters and bragging about not having given a dime to UT in years. They didn't do **** to stop the Schiano hire.
I was telling somebody this last night. Vol Twitter likes to take credit for that, but it's always guys with big checkbooks that make things happen in ADs.

I’m not trying to pump anyone up. You just can’t read a thread around here without a bunch of Nancy’s whining about how bad things are. They aren’t.

I’m excited to see our Vols play some football tomorrow.
Things aren’t bad with the state of our football program? Ok mate if you say so

For those of you that complain all the time about how bad things are. Do you think you are helping the situation? You would have to know absolutely nothing about football not to be able to tell we are not a great football team and haven't been for some time. To make matters worse when someone make a positive comment, they are jumped on for being unrealistically optimistic. Fire the coaching staff, our players suck and on and on and on. We have had more coaches in the past 12 years than we have had in the rest of my life and I am OLD. JP knows football. That is more than I can say about our last coach. Should be a move in the right direction. We don't have the players to play the way JP wants but you have to start somewhere and starting his first day here was the right move in the long run. Changing the plan to match what we have was not going to win us a NC. Give the staff, players and the rest of us a break with the whining.
There’s a lot of truth in what you say. However the opposite is also true.. for every post on this board complaining or stating displeasure there are 3 posts attacking and berating that person and their views. It works both ways. Some are tired of the complaining, some are tired of the constant sunshine pumping. It is what it is

Oh ok I was just confused... because you literally said things weren’t bad.

“They aren’t” was in regards to “How bad things are”, basically meaning so many people act like our program just got shut down, or like we haven’t won a football game in 5 years. Again, Tennessee football will be fine.

I'm typically as negative (I call it realastic) as anyone, but I think we're winning today.

I know an Auburn booster that's has told me some pretty interesting stuff. Sounds like Butch 2.0 down there.
Their DL will introduce a little reality to the situation.

We’ve had a brutal decade of football, we’ve gone through a tough stretch like all programs go through. From ‘97 to ‘07 Bama was garbage, with a couple of good seasons sprinkled in.

Even within this horrendous stretch we’ve seen Top 10 status, Top 5 classes, multiple College Game Days, and multiple prime time games with a sold out stadium of 102.455.

The woe is me act is tired. Tennessee football will be fine. Man up everybody, its football season, it’s game day.

GBO. No matter what.
Looks like you were right!

We won one today. Against a ranked opponent from the west on the road. Lots of streaks broken

It was a big win. Great job by pruitt and staff as well as the players. This will do wonders on the recruiting front.

WE cannot move forward until the team moves forward! As a fan I have done my part for the last 10 years in spite of the slop that we've had to watch! I've followed intently. I've went to games. Cheered them loudly. Spent the money. Followed the recruiting. Read the message boards. Listened to the talk shows. Invested emotionally, financially, etc. No more! I'm done until this team shows me something! As of right now I am officially off the train and I will continue to be until it changes on the field! Stop acting as if there's some symbiotic relationship between player and fan. Until this team wakes the hell up or this staff gets better players, I'll be checking the final score on my phone while I do better things with my time! The onus is on THEM to make me give a **** again!
Well, did they do enough? Or will you still find something to whine about?
