We’ve had a brutal decade of football, we’ve gone through a tough stretch like all programs go through. From ‘97 to ‘07 Bama was garbage, with a couple of good seasons sprinkled in.

Even within this horrendous stretch we’ve seen Top 10 status, Top 5 classes, multiple College Game Days, and multiple prime time games with a sold out stadium of 102.455.

The woe is me act is tired. Tennessee football will be fine. Man up everybody, its football season, it’s game day.

GBO. No matter what.

I’m not trying to pump anyone up. You just can’t read a thread around here without a bunch of Nancy’s whining about how bad things are. They aren’t.

I’m excited to see our Vols play some football tomorrow.
Im always excited to watch too, although I.cant watch tomorrow, ill be following on my phone.

But things aint good bro, not.even a little..

Wow, totally agree with you! I get tired of the “we haven’t won a conference game since.., Vandy has beaten us, blah, blah, blah”. Yes, we’re down, been down awhile, gonna get better. We will rise again.

I agree, let's just get over this crap and move forward...yea it's not great now but we have to support the team and work our way back...we're in this situation for a lot of reasons and to me that's in the past we have to move on. Pruitt needs to recruit his team and his style players to have any shot at improving. GO VOLS!!

So are you saying we all should start threads with uplifting titles and ignore the cold hard facts?

Nah, I think he's talking about repeating those same facts endlessly.
I'm realistic about our team and know where we stand. Don't mind debates about our future or "what ifs" about other coaches etc.
But the same posters just repeating "we suck" and giving each other high fives in every thread, they're not trying to have conversations. Just trolling for internet fights and like whoring.

I think CJP needs to coach up the players he has. He is their coach isnt he?

The last staff has been lambasted repeatedly on VN for not coaching them up and yet most on here seem to give this staff a pass.

If they can be competitive in the rest of the SEC games the opinions will change. Continue getting blown out? Moe fans will get more frustrated.

Play better show some improvement. Look like were making strides towards being a better team. That is what I'm looking for today.
I hate to break this to you but you're in for some serious disappointment...before the first quarter even ends most likely.

I'm typically as negative (I call it realastic) as anyone, but I think we're winning today.

I know an Auburn booster that's has told me some pretty interesting stuff. Sounds like Butch 2.0 down there.

Pruitt was brutally honest about the team in his presser when he was hired. Knowing the recruiting rankings from Butch's classes, I think a lot of fans, me included, thought the lack of development would be corrected and everything would be fine. Then there were the expected, and some unexpected players choosing to enter the draft or transfer. Pruitt never even got the opportunity to coach these players. He had to try to hold on to the commitments from Butch's class for 2018, recruit some juco guys, install new offensive and defensive schemes, with a new coaching staff, instill a work attitude in the players, and yes, that key word I have seen on here for several years, develop the players. At Georgia, I saw a glimpse of the teaching and development taking place. Pruitt has put together a solid recruiting class and still has a few spots open. I wish all the posters who only see the negative would refrain from the we suck mantra and support the team and coaches. It's gonna take a bit of patience and a couple of recruiting classes to be where we all would like to be.

I’m taking some old light fixtures to the dump later. Throw all the woe is me garbage on my truck and I’ll drop it off while I’m there. The only thing is, I probably won’t go till after the game so we’ll have to deal with it till then. Or until the team starts winning again. That’s more likely to be realistic.

Edit: I’m not in the woe is me camp but the ones that are, aren’t likely to change. That was my point.

I'm ready to watch some Tennessee football...'cause we only get 12 chances EVERY year to watch...and my years are dwindling...

But...in reality...I'm afraid THEIR Jimmy's & Joe's are gonna outplay Tennessee's Janis's & Josephine's

I'm hoping to be wrong!
