UT does not need a head coach in training.

Cutcliffe would be a fool to leave Duke for UT at this stage in his career.

Coach Fulmer as AD would be great for UT.

Cutcliffe is not going to be told who his staff will be. A buddy of mine knows him pretty well. Cut initially accepted and then turned down the UT job when we hired Dooley. There were a couple of main reasons. First, about half the team was one strike away from being booted for failed drug tests, including the quarterback and best wide receiver. Second, he was not going to be allowed to hire his own staff. If you get Cut, he will bring his entire Duke staff, much like Butch did from Cincy. I have no problem with that. The idea of a coach in waiting is not realistic however. Let's keep it real. Do you want Duke's staff? It might not be all that bad all things considered.

I really don't give a f%£k if they have Tennessee ties or not. That shouldn't be in the criteria whatsoever.

It is pretty simple when a group of amateur personnel men play fantasy coach search. Randy Sanders needs a job soon and Kippy would report in. 80s class reunion.

I honestly think Blackburn did that interview to set Currie up now. Sounds like he knew Gruden wouldn’t get the job and knew if he said it was possible the fans would be pissed at Currie when it wasn’t him. Smart play by Blackburn honestly if that’s what he was doing.
