It’s pretty simple! Fire Currie! bring back Fulmer for AD, Hire Cuttcliff then Hire Tee Martin as OC (HC in waiting) title. Then hire Chief (since he is available) and let them hire the best Damn VFL Staffing money can buy! Why are we making this so hard.

No, Blackburn as AD and maybe Tee as coach or OC. No Fulmer. No Chief. No Cut.

Sensing that Fulmer would literally gobble up the opportunity, but highly doubt any of the other names mentioned would accept the profoundly significant chance to return.

I think Cuttcliff knowing he is doing this to retire a Vol and to hand the keys to Martin would be ideal though. Gives Martin two years to Slowly implement his system and learn from Cuttcliff one of the best QB coaches in the history of the game. Not to mention he is also one of the best OC’s in the game. Not knowing this is ignorance. The only reason no one has hired him for the Big school is recruiting. He is a perfect option for a 2 year coach with 2 year in waiting High profile Tee Martin head coach in waiting. They would be coming to finish their career for Martin. It’s and easy recruiting sale. Tee could have the keys in year 2 or 3.

Very intriguing. I could get behind this.

At least it would be Tennessee people.

I mean who do you all think we are gonna get now. Please don’t say pay Gruden! No one is gonna want to come here right now unless they love this place and sick and tired of seeing it get run to the ground. We need people that LOVE us the fans. love Tennessee football. Ones that get chills when they hear “it’s football time in Tennessee”.

It's time again to have coaches that we can trace back to Neyland. Getting away from that has proven a problem.

Everyone you mentioned is horrible.

No thanks.

Fulmer? Maybe.
Cut and Chief? No thanks. Way past expiration date.
Tee? After today's fiasco, he's better than what we can expect around here. Maybe.

In the same post you said no to chief and said Tee Martin is too good to come here! Lol. Proven SEC coordinator for 20 plus years at UT-LSU-Taxes A&M. Tee hasn’t proven himself yet at all. He is a mid major coaching candidate. He takes this Job with one call! Chief doesn’t have a Job at the moment but will be hired at another SEC school tomorrow if he wants. Come on. No one is gonna want this debacle then turning down the coaches I just mentioned in the same post is comical!

At this point I'd take Cut over a younger 3rd tier candidate. I think the ceiling for either would be 8 to 9 wins.

With Cut we could probably move on in a few years and be able to attract higher level candidates. Whereas, if a younger coach were to get us to that level we'd be back to where we were the last couple of years with Butch, not good enough to contend but too good to fire and hire a coach who could get us over the hump.

Options aren't good. But a stopgap that could stabilize the program and bring back some respectability would be better imo than going back to another Dooley or Butch which is likely the best we'd do now unless we unexpected strike gold with a 3rd tier HC.

This really isn't hard.

Cut is too old.. however, he can mentor. He can advise. He can train.

Martin would fail as HC. Nothing against him, but he isn't prepared for the position.

I’ve been in Recruiting for the last 15 years of my life. I have also been very successful at it. When you have a passion and truly believe in what you’re offering you will be successful. I don’t understand why our fans think an outsider to this program is what we need. We want a guy that can set in a HS 5star athletes living room and talk about the Vol walk , running through the T and hearing most bone chilling five words ever spoke. “It’s football time in Tennessee” with a passion just like all of us. We have the best fan base and traditions in college football to me. I want a coaching staff that feels the same. It’s NOT that hard!

It's harder than you think. Not to mention BOTH parties have to interested. No one really wants to coach here.

Besides, your candidates aren't the answer

I’ll allow it. I’d love it!

It's not that hard to say it but the Haslams want their people in place where they can control what happens. Little Jim has his AD (Currie) and he had his coach (Schiano) picked out. Hallam and Currie apparently lied to the entire fan base by putting on the charade of a false coaching search when they had their man picked out all along. That's how Currie was able to say, when he would have a coach signed.

As long as the Vols continue to sign mediocre ADs and coaches, the problem will struggle to get out of the muck the Hallam family has put us in

The only person, didn't say coach, that takes this job will be tenn. related.. Don't really think any body that's not associated with tenn. would except this risk.. And they wanna make sure the fanbase excepts it.

The only person our fan base should want is someone related to UT. We all got to see what outsiders think of our program and fan base yesterday and today. I don’t want to hear some BS from an outsider how this is his dream job BS.

Cut wouldn't come back if he was offered. He would want to bring his staff from Duke and that wouldn't Cut it in Knoxville. He loves it at Duke and has no desire to leave. Chaos has also said he wouldn't come back to TN.
