A good man would finish out the season with his team, not abandon them. New recruist would understand this and see the loyalty as a good thing. The OC, or Fulmer and Manning could take up the sack until the season is over.

I lost a lot of respect for Cutcliffe when he left before the title game in 97

Saban is making Pruitt feel guilty. Saban cares about nobody but himself. Self gratification and winning is all that matters to him. Somebody needs to tell Pruitt that Saban is attempting to manipulate his future career !

Plus we can't worry about one recruiting class when it comes to getting the right coach in place. If Pruitt wants to finish the season, let him!

If that’s the most important thing, then they should hire Les Miles or Kevin Sumlin and be done with it. Expensive, and not likely to produce a Natty, but a win now strategy as oppose$ to a dynasty DC Strategy.

Don’t think that any of the likely’s in the HC Pool are going to win any early signees that we weren’t going to get any way...

Now a non-playoff Bowl coach is a different story. Totally subjective to the situation. Did not like that Frost bolted, but he was not going to the tournament.

Exactly. The coach is being hired for a period longer than 12/20-22/2017.

2018 is a transition year. Sorry long suffering Vols. The net loss isn’t 2-3 three stars at most, it’s the principles of the whole program and it’s coaches.

During his collegiate career, Pruitt played at both Middle Tennessee and Alabama. He began his career at Middle Tennessee under legendary coach Boots Donnelly, where he was a two-year starter at safety and cornerback for the Blue Raiders. After his sophomore season, Pruitt transferred to Alabama where he played two seasons under Gene Stallings.

If he is the pick for HC, I'm sure Saban will not be sending him out recruiting. He will only be out recruiting for TENN. Also don't think Saban will be telling him to stay, he will be staying because HE has loyalty. I think he can do both although he will probably be putting in 16-18 hour days for awhile. Being from Ala means nothing to me. My opinions.

I honestly am fine with him coaching through the playoffs as long as he is finalizing our recruiting class and getting a staff together while he's getting his team ready. I think he doesn't want to leave the players this late in the game more than the actual team if he's the players coach everyone seems to say he is.

If it was any other team than Bama, it wouldn't be an issue for me. But we are talking Bama here people, evil walking the face of the earth.

You can't go to work planning D Day while still moonlighting for Hitler
