I also suspect this will be something that continues to look even worse in the aftermath as more data comes out, and I wouldn't be surprised if the people saying "no their population actually was growing" end up looking cartoonishly bad.

All of those casualty counts, including the independent 80K, cautioned that the real number was likely higher and people are currently starving

Gaza is currently growing at a rate of 3% per year, which is the 13th highest growth rate in the world. The city is already very crowded with limited space for new construction. The city’s schools are overcrowded with an average of 40 children in every classroom. Between 2000 and 2013 alone, Gaza grew by over 687,000. By 2020, the region will have 2.1 million people.

On Slice's population site, it also talks about landmarks:

Before looking it up I already knew it would be mostly destroyed now, and it is.

IMO the casualty count is going to end up well into six figures given the way there is virtually nothing left in Gaza, and people are going to have to reckon with their support for that.

The number didn't matter when it was 20k, 30k, 40k, etc.

They don't care about Palestinian innocents. They just flat out don't care. 100k dead. 1m dead. They argued with us about the validity of the 20k number, as if the number held meaning, and then completely ignore it when independent bodies say 80k. They don't care. Every point they argue is just a piece in a chess match. They don't care. 90% of their points can be turned against them. They don't care.

It also says there’s no clear data to support any other findings so calling someone quoting an official UN report a liar is a bit misleading to downright dishonest. Considering he was trying to use it to justify the white nationalist lies posted here by someone else it definitely leans dishonest

He was not "quoting an official UN report" and if it's using pre-genocide data then it is a f***ing lie. Anyone who says the "population increased since 10/7" is a liar and that includes you. It's bad enough that people only say that to argue that mass murder isn't that bad

At no point did I claim his comments were “because of the black community”. But he will continue this lie anyway. He has no attachment to truth.
