Israel vs Palestinians II

Released, the last one is back in NJ now

Not to be distrusting, but that was about the release they're planning. Article from May. There wasn't an update. Did he get released?

Fantastic! That went completely under the radar for me.

Now, if we could force Hamas into early retirement or arrange a face to face with them and Allah, maybe Gaza can be at peace.

Not only that, Haim Rubinstein revealed to the world that Hamas offered to return all hostages on day 2...but whoever in leadership that knew (on both sides of our alliance) about the offer, hid it from the Israeli and American people.

Part of the bad part has been pushing our agenda. It's a body that does a horrible job of policing themselves and there is no mechanism to police it. Virtually everything they touch is rife with corruption.
You make it sound like the Tennessee General Assembly. The UN has self policing mechanisms, which is good since we, along with the other winners of WWII, set up its structure and have largely controlled it for most of its existence. I don't think it's as bad as you believe.

What our Jew hating Hamas supporters don’t want you to know.

On Monday, September 29, 2025, vital humanitarian aid continued to flow from Israel into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Israel is facilitating the entry of hundreds of trucks, fuel, and essential supplies to the Gaza Strip every single day.

Facts matter. Israel acts.IMG_9533.jpeg

We have manipulated it as have others.

I wonder what else they tabled. It might help explain what they hoped to achieve.

That's nice. How long did Israel block all that from entering Gaza though, thus creating the problem they're now 'solving'?

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that that matches Israel's objective. I doubt such an outcome would lead to peace.
Who cares which objective it matches?. Wrt the ME, I have nothing to fight for therefore I have nothing to fight about.

If there are examples of Arab states where freedom and democracy matches or exceeds Israel, I'll back those states controlling Gaza.

I am pro improvements based on data. I care nothing for your, or anyone else's, sacred cow.

I have no dog in this hunt myself but that doesn't mean we should be myopic in our thinking. The people in Gaza have a well earned animosity toward Israel. Putting Israel even more in charge of their daily lives is not a recipe for peace. Why not let them rule themselves, this time with the freedom and rights to do so?

Because Arabs in the region where Isreal is dominant have not had a history which shows they are more focused on peace, freedom, and democratic self-governance protecting rights.
As far as I can tell, Arabs living in Israel are better off (with peace, freedom, rights) than those living outside.
Again, if an Arab state is on par or better than Israel, turn control over to them. Doesn't matter to me.
