that Philip Fulmer can't even get together the offensive line, when he himself was an offensive lineman and the OL is supposed to be his specialty????? (he was on OL coach from 74-78)

1 yard is said. But it makes sense coming from a guy who on his show said "we did a good job of stopping him (Moreno) last year."

When we played GA last year, Moreno was still the backup and didn't play that much. They had a senior RB (I forget his name) that was still getting almost all the carries until GA played UF.

Underachieving. I said it before but if Fulmer comes back he should not renew scholarships for those who act like they don't care what happens out there.

It's sad that we had a terrific O line last year and one of the worst this year. And didn't lose anyone, how the hell?

that is disturbing. fulmer and chavis have never adjusted to the speed of todays game. our running game has been nothing better than average for about 5 years now. its been below average for about 4 years and running. Tennessee is still a great place and we have great players on this team. we need to play the young guys, announce fulmers retirement, get some new blood, and get things rollin

They had problems blowing people off the line last year. Not this bad, but last years offensive line was touted all because of one stat. They were not aggressive last year either.

Would have to think there must be some internal player issues, but there have not been any reports about malcontents on the team.

One other worriesome aspect is the failure of the team to hold a players only meeting to work some things out amongst themselves (at least I have not heard any such meetings). That would be a great start by the players to take ownership of their poor effort to this point.

one of the main reason that the OL didnt allow that many sacks was because whenever anybody would get within 3 ft of Ainge he would throw it away. And i remember one of the 4 sacks last year came when Ainge fell down when he dropped back...

Moreno was the #1 back against UT. Brown was hurt in that game anyways. 13 carries for 30 yards is shutting him down.

I thought he became #1 later. Thanks for correcting. I just remember UGA questioning who the running back should be after our game.

Excellent post. Big part of the problem. No leadership at all on this team. A lot of that i have to put on phil for not making it basically manditory. But the kids can shoulder some of that blame also. I'am a little out of touch with what is important in a kids life anymore. But the teams we had in the past, late 90's just seemed like they wanted it more and cared more. I would venture to say a lot of these kids do care but its seems like maybe not enough.

Who cares who is named starter? Moreno had more touches in the first half than Brown did. You could tell that there was a concerted effort to try and get him the ball but he was shut down.

go back and watch that game again please and see who had more touchs in the first half
